Tell me about the Multi-Vector Advanced Escort.

Eyeing to maybe buy the Multi-Vector Advanced Escort and i'd like owners to weigh in on it.

I relish the "damage dealer" escort role so i was liking this guy.

I read one forum post where a owner complained about The two other pieces of the ship flying off to the edge of the map leaving him S.O.L. For the rest of the battle. And another poster said it was a common bug. Was this ever fixed?

How it does it perform as a ship? Pros, Cons? Comments?

Thanks!

It was out-classed in PVP a year ago

Ensign tac seat is basically deadweight, and the rest of the ship doesnt make up for it

It's nothing special now. The pets are weak and die pretty easy. Their pet AI is not any better than carrier pets, and at least on a carrier you can re-launch more of them.

I mainly liked it cause it had a LC Sci station. You could get GW1 for your own cannon and torp AoE or a LC heal power or some other cute LC sci power.

Its a good ship that I usually find myself coming back to now and then but at this point it is not the beast escort. It is still good for nws due to gw but you start to notice the lack of lt cmdr boff slot. For that reason alone its dps is a bit lower. If you want to buy a c-store ship I would recommend looking at the tempest at this point or even the Andorian Charal. If you want to go t6 then the phantom is also worth a look.

It's a nice ship, but as others have pointed out it's outdated now. Don't fly it in PvP. For PvE, it's still effective if you use it right. Take advantage of the science slant (LtCmdr Sci seat and the console slots). Don't rely on the other two sections to support you - just like the Galaxy saucer, they are there only as distractions.

I believe it's impulse bonus for splitting the ship is still bugged too, it got broke after LoR launch and they never fixed it, so no bonus impulse after splitting. That was a huge point of doing so for me that got ruined.

Honestly, I always liked the free level up version better due to the boff seating.
My carrier is more powerful than your gal-dread

Another problem is that it tends to get stuck in separation mode. Happens to all ships with special modes and was also never fixed.

There are two optins to solve this:
    a) remove the gimmick console, this will "reset" the ship (only works out of combat though)
    b) change maps

Just stay away from over the top gimmicky ships, 'cause there's a good chance that their either bugged, broken or useless.

Also agree ^^^^. If you are looking to deal lots of damage as a cannon weilding escort I would reccomend the Andorian Charal Escort. If you upgrade it to T5U you end up with a 5th tac console slot and the boff seating is nice, also the 5 front weapons really makes it deadly. The phaser cannon that comes on the front weapon slot deals lots of dmg also. Hope this helps you make up your mind, good luck.

The MVA mode is probably the most poorly implemented ability in the game. Or one of them. Something that should of been so awesome, is so much GARBAGE. Seriously needs a revamp.

I dunno about the c-store version but the fleet version of it rocks. I use it as my primary ship for fed characters for all end game content and No-Win Scenario.
