Truly a disparaging sight to hear and see the neverending complaints of long time players in this game. Imagine how short lived star trek would have been if Kirk surrendered at the sight of the first klingon bird of prey. For shame, pitaks.

As far as I can tell vpvp hasn't failed and is slowly growing well maybe even crawling. If anything the reason it grows ever so slow is because too many players are hiding behind their crutch lockbox ships and gear and unwilling to back up their **** talk in a "MORE SKILLED TEAM ORIENTED" setting then the current meta allows. I don't suggest bailing on top level space pvp but at least show your **** in vpvp as well. I still do top level ground pvp but have signed up for vgpvp as well.
It just mind boggles me how quick the ballsack is to drop when rolling in premades or having fully geared maxed out builds to the tip. But when a hint of a true opportunity to show ones skill comes around those same people troll and bash it. It's not like they are having stuff taken away from them if we are all following the same sets of rules. Also we ALL did once pilot and build like this and we could all pvp all day and it still be fun. So much for all these "limitations" we are trying to impose. You noobs get off your crutch and put up or stfu period!

More than likely by the end of this year there wont be anyone left in PVP, apart from the one shot cloaking disabling PVP'ers, hiding from each other in kerrat. The rest of us, those people in our "crappy" fed cruisers would have been driven off, by people like you.

If not look im a long time player that has put money in to this game in the past my forum tilte proves it.
If i dont like something ill say im the type of guy that calls a brick a brick or as far as the OP goes a newbie that should play the game for a couple of years. Then once he earned a load of stuff watch as craptic nerf the hell out of it, pets are on the next nerf bat swing. :mad:
one last thing im british we have the right to freedom of speach and i use that right as much as i wont or feel the need to. (yes i dont care what the commonest run STO forums try to do to shut us up)

One can look at the bigger picture. Broken item x leads to y, z; z makes m, n, o, p obsolete; obsolete m has b, c, d repercussions; repercussions that may be poisonous for the the overall health of PvP.
Long time players tend to be more experienced than short time players. More experienced players tend to have a better grasp of the bigger picture, of how things relate and interact.
Then there is another group of players who are concerned only about their well-being, balance be damned, the rest of the community be damned. If something benefits them, they defend it; if something they use gets fixed or receives a balance-pass, they complain.
In my book, weak minded are the people who lunge at the heroin before them, like there is no tomorrow. People who look at the heroin, restrain themself and say "No", those are the people strong minded.

ntn. This thread is whining about whiners and nothing will change lol.
If there was no expansion people would rage about nothing changing, PvE folks would still ask for harder STFs, PvP ppl would ask for whatever change to pvp.
So it seems people got what they wanted, new ships, gear, new sectors, new STFs, new captain skills, more level progression, more story missions, while only those loud vanilla ppl wanted nothing and are happy with barebones Defiant CRF/BO vs Galaxy FAW/A2B games.
Oh wait, they are not happy, they are even more enraged then ever even though they proclaim no-gear PvP is all-skill and all-man. Nothing was taken out from the game for vanilla ppl, yet they rage the most.
