Does the Implacable warp out based on a timer or might other things be involved - like getting too close to it? I have racked up a number of failures on her now. Eventually it warps too far away and I can't catch the torpedoes - having burned all my speed burns and hold breaks.
Or is the only thing to destroy it quickly?

iv fail this mission over and over due to the devs and there poor / lack of programming skills / bugs
the main problem is yes the boss ship jumps way too far away
second problem is unkillable rockets if u do get there fast enough u get to 18 hp and can nolonger do any damage to the rocket (kill it)

Oh this makes sense. I was often losing target on the rockets. I guess this is because it was reading them as friendly or surrendered when they get to 18.

All this takes is, hit evasive manoeuvres as soon as he disappears, get away from all the support. But this seems beyond 90% of the players in this game, who insist on sitting shooting the wrong targets, or trying to slow crawl. A for the torpedoes being bugged, they are not, you just need to be quicker to kill them before they become 'active'. It's a simple mission, but unless a minimum of 2 players know what to do, it's a guaranteed fail, because of the way the torpedoes spread wide, so 1 player can't get to them all on time.
