I will be doing a little experiment for my own curiosity and perhaps others. As of the latest patch 10/30 I will be doing a new charater into STO, seeing as all others have leveled up at a seeming arlarming rate.
This will be done using a tactical Joinned Trill, from a preorder Customer with all the goodies that come from it and being a lifetime member with all perks (5% loyal Customer perk), I will be doing a dailie run of the foundry missions once unlocked and dailie academy run.
I will try to get all accolades from story mission runs solo, there are a few I will not be able to get due multiple carrier accolades for certain missions.
I will give updates on dilitium gained and ec by the sale of accumulated non nessairy drop items. I will however use all items that I have already purchased, c-store....my bad, zen store items, ships and the like. I would have chosen a Talaxian character but seeing as it still isn't completly fleshed out (space trait mis labeled as ground).
Updates will be done per "chapter" so as to give a general idea, and all done on elite setting.

Progress does seem slower as it takes alot more kills to advance any form of skill or expertise points, something familiar to the season 1 and 2 times.To make it towards level 10 I did not just do story missions, I had to do a few patrol missions along with one foundry mission and a few of the tutorial missions and patrols along the way, hence the dilitium accumulation, one must not forget the academy quiz also.
Hope this helps others as to the time it takes to level up a new character in the "new" STO
