i played with my rom eng toon viscous cycle advanced, i used "battle cloak" to open the maw (beam team), and i have avoided the fights against undines, because this is useless; their hp is insanely high; the mission failed because a ****in bug, and i earn an afk penalty.

really?
thus, now i can't use battle cloak?
You cannot contribute some 10-15k DPS while being cloaked. Recent changes to general pve endgame seem to make it necessary. Unfortunately your good approach towards the map and one that this game would have u come up with in the learner normal mode des not seem to kick in advanced really.
Im sorry to hear about your experience.

Yes, the HP of enemy ships is enormous.
A sphere has 400k on advanced. WTH.
But then, if you want to join in those, you must contribute as much as possible, else you will be reported.
It's not fair for some players to do the hard work while others are watching.

If what you say is true, than you experienced what others did at one time in azure nebula runs.
Remember, that doing dmg does factor into the automated afk penalty system (the amount required may vary) and, by sitting cloaked most of the time, you are not contributing to that magic # much.
Yup, you didn't do enough damage for the automated system to consider you as a contributor instead of a leecher because it doesn't take into account your other actions.
Nitpicking is a time-honored tradition of science fiction. Asking your readers not to worry about the "little things" is like asking a dog not to sniff at people's crotches. If there's something that appears to violate natural laws, then you can expect someone's going to point it out. That's just the way things are.
i can do a lot of damage, but i don't like to play like a dpser; i prefer to use strategy (yep even against stupid mobs :P)
Infected for example has a strategy. Part of it is always adhered to, another part has been forgotten over the DPS race.
The part everyone remembers is - do first the one side, than the other. Some even remember to keep the Nanite Spheres away.
Forgotten is often "bring each of the 4 regenerators down to 10 % or so and then kill them all at once", because power creep allowed one or two good players to bring enough damage that the central nanite thingy is down before the nanite spheres arrive.
I think similar things happened for other missions. Ultimately - strategy at some point will be figured out and taught even taught to the "masses". Unless mit requires very good timing and positioning in some manner, it will be doable by most, and DPS is the only point that still matters, because it affects how fast things finish.

I've been using 2 battlecloak bombers for months now. They never had any afk-penalty or similar problems.

Enhanced battlecloak bombers are just perfect for Viscous Cyle Advanced. My Sci captain does average 18k dps in a cloaked photon b'rel bop, while he can sneak in those maw breaching troops real quick and pop the planetkillers real fast.

"shoot and run" is not my way of playing this game. if i want this kind of game, i can play at a hack&slash game.
bah!, all the fun is removed from this game, release after release; and all is replaced by this stupid dps race.
even ground stfs are like that; run and shoot; no strategy, nothing
battle cloak is a very nice tool, not only for dps.
