Delta Alliance 4 Piece Space Set - Tantalus Field

The thread title says it all.

I've looked ingame, I've looked on the forums, I've looked on Cryptics website, I've even looked into their FB page and the STO Wiki. No info to be found. :confused:

Any of you lifetimers already gotten that far on tribble or holodeck that can post the bonuses of the Delta Alliance set (not the three piece Delta Operations set)? I'm just curious about what the Tantalus Field does. Thanks in advance.

    The tooltip says: "Eliminates from existence enemy mines, torpedoes, turrets and small craft for 5 sec."

    Thanks! A littled bummed right now, though. Hoped for something like a planet destroyer, 45° exotic damage cone or sth. like that, that really "wipes away" torpedos and mines permanently in it's parth. For the pinnacle of a new 4-piece-space-set, it seems a little bit weak but some will make good use of it. That set is basically all defensive. Probably gonna keep my Borg around for a while then.

    it kills enemy mines and seekers.... the Vaadwaur LOVE those.... and so do the Malon. Did I mention they use Tricobalt mines?

    Not being able to acquire any of the needed Ancient thingys (beyond the one for finishing the Kobali story) makes getting this set completely out of my reach...

    As I have as of yet been lucky enough to PUG-complete the required STF's.

    Nice to know somebody will have fun with it though.

    Don't need a set 4 to destroy mines, torps and pets. The current meta is dominated by BFAW, it's not like it's rare or something.

    Bug Hunt advanced isn't difficult, pesky, but not difficult. I get one powercell a day, and I get to burn off some of the 150 minor re-generators I have clogging up my bank.

    Win win.

    not all builds can do that.

    I too would like to know ppls opinon on this. I was super excited about the Delta set..seemed real tanky which i love. And then i saw the Tantalus field and was like...huh?

    I mean, i guess it's cool, but that's what I have FAW and TBRs for. Right now i run the Dyson rep set and I can't tell you how many times that metaphasic shield has saved my but. And that blocks everything, not just torps and mines.

    Other thoughts?
