Free the "entranced" cooperative ships. Cool.

PLasma fire, Nope can't do it it's keeping your deflector from firing the pulse that would free the ship.

Disrupt and collapse the undine rifts. Cool

Plasma Fire? Man that doesn't mean anything we can still use the deflector to disrupt the rip in the fabric of our universe without causing any problems.

Seriously what the hell? Either make the Plasma fire damage interrupt them both or interrupt neither.

Lol, yeah they just did it to TRIBBLE us off, because freeing them is, really the only thing that matters.

I don't think they even realise borg torpedoes leave plasma fires.

If they played the stf even ONCE they'd change the machanics in a hearbeat. I'm pretty sure the stf is supposed to be easier but they forgot to account for plasma fires interrupting the objectives.

Imo, NOTHING should interrupt these kind of mechanics, if I can tank while doing the objectives, I should damn well be allowed to.

It is a peculiar phenomenon that we can imagine events that defy the laws of the universe.

    poor planning

I do think that it sucks that plasma fires interrupt the interact function. But if you know that it does that and it isnt your very first time in Borg Disconnected then you should have immediately adjusted your HE usage. Meaning you dont use HE on other players and you save HE for yourself for when mobs stop focusing on you or when they all die.

The biggest problem is the frequency that the plasma fires go off.

I'm a Tac, I HAVE Hazard Emitters but the borg plasma fire goes off WAY more oftent han a players.

So my HE will fade and I'll immediately be on fire again.

    It's incredibly frustrating.

The reason the Plasma DoT gets applied to you very frequently is because the Borg Spheres have their own version of the Omega Plasma Torpedo Launcher. You know, that Rep Plasma Torp that fires every 2 seconds.

Now that you know this, adjust your combat tactics accordingly. Focus down the Sphere first, and only use your Hazard Emitters right before you try to free the Cooperative Ships.

If you're working with another player it gets much much easier. All you have to do is work with your ally. One of you moves forward to draw the aggro, while the other sits back and frees the ships.
