I was doing this system (the one that has you baited into a Hierarchy ambush) and at the final space engagement you can let the last ship go or take him on. Well, my toon is Fed, so he did the right thing to apprehend him. It went well at the beginning; I had him done to about 10% when all of sudden he releases a staggering amount of fire (almost a one shot) that forced me to back off to restablize my shields and hull. Now here if the strange part, the Hierarchy ship goes from near dead to 100% in a snap for no other reason than he moved to the start point. The game just ninja'ed my work and made me start over in the engagement. There is some serious "shenanigans" going on in this game and that is just bad programming. :eek:

p.s. I still killed him, but it took more time than it should have....

    It's not a bug. You stated

    If you disengage from battle too long, the NPCs will reset (to 100% shields & hull) and return to thier original position in the mission. So if you "backed off" you probably waited for your heal cool downs to end before you went back into battle. This is more than enough time for the NPCs to reset.
