When i first started playing this game the leveling experience was very smooth and i basically went from mission to mission wrecking everything i could. Now with Delta Rising it doesn't seem to be enough XP per mission to actually level up. I'm also running Doff mission but they can take hrs to finish. What else can i do for XP? Do i have to constantly replay missions? That just doesn't seem right. Is this only with the KDF?

When you finish mindscape you get a notice that from that point forward exp peer mission will not be enough to gain a level.

Nope not only KDF just messed up game mechanics.
if you are above lvl 50 now is the time to forget about lvling your self. and listen carefully...

that's the nice thing to do. stop worrying about yourself so much. be a good and helpful player.
Trophies for killing FEDS ahh those were the days.
Yep, levelling is definitely underpowered right now, and can be said to require a buff...
Detecting big-time "anti-old-school" bias here. NX? Lobi. TOS/TMP Connie? Super-promotion-box. (aka the two hardest ways to get ships) Excelsior & all 3 TNG "big hero" ships? C-Store. Please Equalize...

I'm having a feeling that my level 52 is going to catch up with the mission level requirement. and then I'm going to have a hard time with producing the XP to level furthure.

LOL trust your feelings on this hehehe.

Silly question, but how many left some regular missions in their lists when they heard the level cap was being increased?
I mean pre-DR there were more missions than levels. So if you have some of those you will be over 50 well before you go for the DR chain. .
Just saying.

Those don't help much either. XP for missions that are being replayed have been nerfed as well...they only award a flat 675 XP per playthrough. At higher levels, that's almost nothing.
Best bet is to find one of the level-grind-groups.
DOFF missions won't get you all that much - XP from DOFFing might yield about a level to a level and a half per week (I have 5 alts that I have done nothing with except DOFFing and dilithium mining since DR came out; they are now all just about at level 53.) Maybe a little more if you are intentionally seeking out the best XP/time ratio DOFF assignments, which I was not.
DOffing seems to be running about 2-3 levels per week if done daily. From what I understand, once you hit L60 the extra XP go into specialisations, so on that principle I;d guess around 12 weeks to get to L60, all specialisations by DOffing alone.
The good news is that in that process you will get a shedload of Dil, tradable DOffs and EC as opposed to vendortrash mission rewards. And it only takes about 15 mins per alt per day.

I didn't say replayed. I am running missions I had not run yet on the pre-DR list.

That works only for newer characters. Those who play several years old charatcers have only the patrol grinding option left. Normal ques barely get you any xp, advanced ones are almost unbeatable in pugs which also makes a bad choice for grinding exp and every other xp source has been nerfed to near death. Cryptic created their worst grind so far and is doing a jod job in proclaiming it as the best thing ever.
DOFF Tasks have to run all day long might have to use all of them to get the job done right. There are certain DOFF needed more than what you need. Still I am working on my Ambassador SCI FED Officer that takes much more effort since Diplomat, Adviser and Trader are required, but get this a Doctor could replace Adviser if you don't have one of them well under the old DOFF system.
There are some DOFF that you need Chef, Bartender, Entertainer, Security Officer to entertain other higher-up that DOFF task can go either-way. Collect or Fail.
FED/ROM are okay, KDF DOFF tasks are more for looting ships etc. Treat an ilness really need a Doctor and Nurse.
The DOFF prisoner exchange program on KDF requires non-stubborn prisoners but as you know all of them are stubborn. I send it out anyway they're get all removed. If you dismiss any of them they get well you know. I've seen this on FED but the FED has no prisoners just passengers.
Some of these DOF task do help you advance a level but you would have to be at it every day. Jumping around the certain sectors.
As for general leveling you're just going to have to grind, takes time to do that. Borg Disconnect and Bug Hunt are now the only two PVE I can do. The rest are showing 0 players waiting in the queue and even worst for my KDF General.

eh -- old gamer protip.. don't do things after you hit level cap unless it gives purples as a reward. Gives a leg up next time level cap is increased. This game may not up the cap often but its a habit from games that increased it almost yearly that has stuck with me.
I had quite a few uncompleted quests, usually the ones I hated from my first time around, but I had the new arc for the borg/undine invasion (they redid this not long ago and reset the "done once" flag on the missions) along with the horrid drozna station arc and several other strays.
Normal Qs are giving me the better part of 1 bar per go and I am 58.3 or so now (and not grinding, I do what I want and log out, it will happen when it happens). If I had a full day to do it and nothing else to do I could bang out at least 2 levels / day in the normal Qs. Its not an insurmountable problem, its just a little slower than the norm (currently. Time was a level took a week or more as the norm across many games).

Time will only tell!
and when you try to do old missions and patrol zones, cryptic says that is considered exploiting and closes them down
Ah now everyone gets to experience what it was like for us KDF in the early days when PvP was the only way to level.
