Possible Interface Option For Fighting Your Starship

I have had a growing desire to be able to do what I am about to suggest for a while now. If anyone has ever played Star Trek Bridge Commander, they will know what I am talking about. When in missions, I would just LOVE to have the option to switch to a bridge view, like in BC, where I could compartmentalize the different aspects of my ship. For example. I'd like to be able to tell my Tactical Officer(That would be in charge of targeting) to aim at specific areas of an enemy ship. Moreover, I'd like to be able to tell them to train, say, 2 of 3 beam arrays on one enemy, and the other on a second, while having, maybe, one torp firing at the single beam target, as well as a turret. I would like to be able to cripple a cpu ship, and then maybe, if possible, beam over and fight it out for a bonus item or something. Maybe even dilithium(A pirate may like to store it). It would be cool to sit in the captains chair, and as your ship takes damage, witness internal sparks and flares coming from consoles and panels on the bridge around you. Better yet, see your foe the way anyone legitimately on the bridge would; Portions of the enemy vessel that fit on the view screen based on where you are to them. It would probably take a lot to bring this about in terms of resources, and not EVERYONE would like it, but it should be an option, cause it could give you a more full filling Captain/Star Trek Ship Fighting experience. Anyone else have thoughts on this, or agree?

Or you could just use the chat command that allows you to zoom your camera all of the way into your ship.
    This creates a first-person view.
That's probably the closest you're going to get to what you're talking about.
