I have started an outcry to Cryptic on their Facebook page as a result of yesterday's actions and their lack of showing signs of listening to the player base of late... If you have a FB account, could you check it out & if you support the cause, please "like" the comment and share the word around please... I believe it's time for the players to send a direct message to Cryptic of our frustrations...

Mind posting a link to this commentary? Only because I can't find it, and knowing how PWE/Cryptic handles outrage from players, they have more likely than not deleted it.

The bottom line is that some players in the game have managed to find a loop hole in what is otherwise considered to be a rather time consuming or in some cases expensive investment into virtual reality. (This is also known as a Grind) So a few players have found a way to accelerate what would be another grind. Adding to that a new rep grind with more grinding for dilithium for the coveted upgrades? One way or another if you are going to get the gold you have to invest time/ money. I have a few rhetorical questions... Was it absolutely necessary to shut down Tau Dawa Sector patrols? Maybe.. Could cryptic have maybe waited to solve this problem with the next patch? probably..Who knows. Does it really matter when you reach lvl 60 if it takes you a day, a week, a month or in some cases more time? That is relative. In my opinion the fact that they have done this fits with their trend to frustrate players in to spending money for that insta satisfaction of having their new digital candy... In this case reaching lvl 60 ahead of cryptic's schedule... It's not like there aren't other areas of the game that require a great deal of resources to complete in the shape of time, money or both. The reality is that it's just another grind in Farm Trek. It is what it is. So if it's a time thing why take away the loop hole? Let them have the one easy grind. You have at least two or more to bang your head on... ( me personally I don't think I could suffer through that much Tau Dawa patrol mission...)
The root problem from all of the posts that I have seen is that there is a severe disconnect between the players of STO and the devs of STO. The Devs seemed like they were in a rush to put out Delta Rising. Mostly I suspect to make a great deal of money with very little product to show for it... Much like all of the other major releases up to this point. They could have allowed silver players to test it in tribble.. Solve the problem before it became a problem.... Maybe even do a little quality control before a major release...
Alas these have always been and will most likely be the same issues with the game. This latest issue to me it just that "one more thing cryptic has done" category. Everyone wants instant satisfaction. Well if you are cleaver enough to find it... let the players keep it I say. Just because Crypic failed to test it and the players found a work around to another grind... Why continue to punish the players... release a fix in the next patch... But we all know that cryptic is its own animal. It will do as it pleases... I for my part will reduce my contributions to the game to time only... I have no desire to contribute anymore money... by my calculations I should have my "golden starship" in about 6 or so months... I should be lvl 60 by then anyways...
