Multiple Endings to "Alliances"?

I just finished Alliances mission where we have to convince multiple factions to join the alliance.
I wonder if there are multiple endings. It does sound like it, to me anyway.

Spoiler!!!

I failed to get the Hierarchy to join the alliance. I also was killed while fighting the Voth ship. So, I wonder if that is just one possible outcome. If I didn't get kill, would I have convinced the Hierarchy to join.

    Yeah, you can.

I just played it a second time with a friend, and I think he only got like one group to join. Tuvok was as disappointed in him as a Vulcan can get. XD

The bad thing is that it all doesn't matter.

    SPOILER

In the final mission, everyone's there like you succeeded in all the scenarios.

How did you get the Kazon to join you? After Sessen and Kim were talking to each other, another Kazon leader hailed me. He had two options, but one of them was greyed out. The only option I could choose was to tell him that I couldn't help him. How do I get to choose the option to help him?

Buy the terraforming systems from your replicator and give them to him.

Yeah I had to close the window and see if actually having 100 Systems would work. I was pleasantly surprised and got the Kazon onboard.

The guy that actually talks to you after Kim & Sessen jibber jab simply wanted 100 of a specific commodity. You could close the dialogue, open the replicator, buy the required commodity, then hit the "Why yes, we have what you need, will you fight for us now?"

edit to add: meh, others beat me to it :)

Well, if you try that mission on Elite difficulty, at level 60, you discover that the Voth's transphasic chroniton torpedoes do around 40,000k damage per hit, through shields, even vs. over 40% kinetic resistance and it uses High Yield II to launch them, so you're taking around 120k total.

The torpedoes can be avoided by attacking from the side (as the Voth Bulwark cruiser has fore and aft launchers). However, even though the cruiser is sabotaged by the Doctor after you use enough abilities to impress the Hierarchy, it's still got around 200,000 hit points to whittle down before you can kill it.

The fight is winnable if you know what you're up against and plan appropriately. However, if you've never found a Voth ship a significant threat before and aren't prepared for ridiculously over-powered torpedo attacks and a damage sponge, I think it's rather more likely than less that you'll die at least once fighting it.

I used all my Boff abilities, but I spammed them.
So when I really needed my hull repair and emergency power to shield, I couldn't because of cool down and I got killed by one of the Voth's torpedoes...

Resists, hull, and repair abilities look better and better, don't they?

Or maybe higher bonus defense :D

Before DR, Glass Cannons held up as well as any ship. Not so anymore, eh? LOL!

    :(

That Bulwark was unusually nasty. I may be a filthy casual but even I can usually dance around a single battleship with little trouble, barring only the rare unfortunate confluence of D'deridex abilities (that tractor/viral matrix/heavy salvo can knock the wind out of you if it catches you at a bad time) and the occasional dumb move against a Borg cube.

But that Bulwark was a beast. I haven't taken seven tries to kill anything since I was a hardcore green-as-grass noob in the game's first year and found my first Keldon.

I also remember the Bulwark used a singularity against me.
Now I know how my opponents feel since that's one of my most used Boff abilities.

Yeah, that Bulwark was pretty nasty. Almost got it the first try on Elite. The potato people were the only ones I didn't manage to get. Tempted to run through it later and see if I can fail at getting any group together.

Annoyingly, I *did* get everyone to agree, but at the end, Tuvok said "Good job, but too bad you couldn't get the Turei on board". Except I did get them to join. Tempted to rerun just to see if I can get the proper success response, whatever it may be.
