When you write a blog about the 'multiple reports' of bugs in-game, then it might be worth reading.

Although it's a very nice blog, I don't understand the release timing of this and the Tuvok blog. Surely these would have been much greater as hype tools for DR if they were released 2-3 weeks ago, yes?

Yeah, this is bizarre. There's nothing spoiler-y in this post at all (the earlier blogs and livestreams spoiled way more than this), it could have run weeks ago.

Advertising purposes. Even though Delta Rising has been out for a few weeks, the advertising and social media campaign will continue for a few more months.

Delta Rising has been met with a mix reaction. While the new expansion has added allot of good elements, Delta Rising has also introduced allot of controversial changes. Folks over at Cryptic are the only ones whom know the numbers. Did Delta Rising bring in more players? Did Cryptic get an increase of players? Did Delta Rising bring in any new players?

'Star Trek' has always had a small cult following. Regardless about how BIG the franchise seems, the reality is that 'Star Trek's' core fanbase is very tiny. 'Highlander' has a similar problem.

That last sentence is kinda silly...
How many "Highlander" conventions do you see making Millions of Dollars yearly, all over the world, compared to Trek ones.
And how many "Highlander" computer games have there been?

    Treks "core" fan-base is HUGE.
Highlander, while very popular will never be able to compare.

You would have been better off saying that the Star Trek "Gaming" Community is tiny compared to the over all fan-base.

Star Treks "cult" status occurred back in the early 70's, by the late 80's it was a full fledged phenomenon.

It's also based on Voyager's files. It's only a few missions in (I think level 52) when you find out that Voyager's files on the Vaadwaur are entirely invalid anyway, that their numbers and technology are orders of magnitude beyond what was expected.

In the Mission Capture the Flag - Overseer Relin
    http://i39.servimg.com/u/f39/17/05/06/39/altech10.jpg

Under my ROM Admiral Level 55, using all combat pets like Security Escort II and III, Shard Clones and my 1 million EC Memory Alpha Adult Combat Horta.

The picture is what I was doing trying to defeat Vaadwaur Overseer Relin, this had gone on for 5, 10, 15 minutes of just heavy over blown shooting at him. So I've gathered he's programmed not to take a dive with current mark 12 and 13 very rare ground gear. Shoot I even use one of those 1 million EC swords on him and he still didn't go down.

Would be nice if there was option to take him down with our own gear. Again it runs like a script so only one way to take him down. Without spoiling it just have to run and see.

Horta was shooting it vapors and still not enough. Although the Horta never stay out so out long in this game first time to see him or her running past 5 mins. If I didn't stand-up he or she would still be there fighting.

The dialog explains exactly how to kill him. If his shield is up, you haven't done that. He's not invincible because of nonupgraded gear, he's invincible because of reasons, and you have to use technobabble to break those reasons (then a second time because he gets his shield back up).

Tip: Drag him into the GIANT GLOWING CIRCLES.

Yes I've done that, but not in the picture. When his shields were down, I use the sword on him, then the bars on him move down so he was getting hurt. The picture only shown was in fixed position. Still when his shields are up you can't take him down no matter what. Still at the end he did ended up in the giant glowing circles as you had mention.!

I don't know, but for a 900 year behind the tech curve nearly extinct race, up against an elite level 54 vice admiral in the best ship with Mk XII gear, they seem a little tough. Dead, but tough

I was hoping to see the story of these after "Dragon's Teeth". I hadn't faced them yet in combat or in the story part. So I'm looking forward to see what the are up to.

I don't want to spoil it for you but let's just say they got help. You will get to know more about it at the end of the last mission.

Nah just interrogated for their technology. Think of all the stuff the Vaadwaur can do that duplicates the effects of boff powers, but since it isn't a buff it can't be subnuced away. I mean they have TT, EPTE, something that dramatically jacks up their Defense for a few seconds (Acc +60 and I'm still missing 80% of the time?), Dispersal Pattern 4 for the tric mines, a tractor beam that ignores PH, and a version of the Hirogen flip-turn console with a shortened CD. Would have been a great opportunity to give scis something to subnuc in PVE play (finally) but alas nothing. Plus its always annoying when NPCs aren't limited to the same rules players are. (Boss fights maybe, but mooks?)

And where did the Vaadwaur GET all that stuff anyways? I have one story mission left to do still, and while the aggression has been explained, there's still not even a vague explanation on where they got the technology from.

Everything that has happened in STO so far in the main storys has been the result of the Iconions we can only assume these are behind this tech as well.

Would you sign your name to the intel report that said there were only 500 of these guys?

Every faction, including the Feds themselves, should be teasing Starfleet intelligence about this one for the rest of the game. There should be dialogue options to quote this dev blog and voiceover of the flagship Captains griping about it in the eps next season at least.
