New Plasma Projectile Lobi set...

I've been looking at it and I'm curious on the set bonuses...I don't have the Lobi to buy any of them and unfortunately they don't display unless you own a piece.

Dunno, but I do know Plasma Torpedos and mines are usually a bad mix that is more than a little counter-productive. (Mines = close range weapon. High Yield Plasma torpedos = Splash damage that can hit you too.)

It's a painful lesson I've learned first hand and the reason I usually even discourage using cannons with the Romulan Hyper Torpedo. This is coming from someone who is currently using the Hirogen set on my Bastion..

This mine says it will detonate if a enemy comes within 3k of it...so you can keep some distance with it.

I don't own it but here are the set bonuses:

    Set2: Compressed Plasma Chambers
    +32% Plasma Projectile Weapon Damage

    Set3: Strength in Numbers
    When using any Shield Heal:
*Friendly Target (not Self): +10% Defense
*Self: Reduce Cooldown on All Shield Heals by 5sec
(Effects trigger on last pulse of periodic abilities)

BTW you can check this yourself. Just right click on any lobi crystall and click on "use" or go to Drozana station and talk to the lobi trader. Right clicking on the item will open up the item information window.

I try that but it just looks blank for me...or maybe I'm doing something else lol

Either way thanks...really does tempt me to maybe buy a few keys and save lobi from the winter even in a few months.

The two piece looks nice for a plasma torp boat even if it is just base damage like the honor guard set.

I wonder why nobody talks about the console with its 10% weapon drain reduction.

As with most lobi items, the items and set are rubbish and often worse then basic white gear. The mine is a single none tracking mine so ends up doing rubbish damage. The torpedo is barely ok but ends up doing much less damage then plasma torps. The consoles makes no sense and doesn't fit into the projectile theme. The console is useless on projectile ships and energy ships don't norm want to fit torps and mines.

Why not buy the items on tribble?

I've gotten crazy HY omega torp crits before. I wonder what the +32% damage would do.

No doubt it is base damage so in reality you would probably see less then 10% real damage increase.
