This expansion definitively excluded escorts from the game.

    PVP:
    - cruisers deal more damage and have stronger shields and hull, also they don't have to aim so their weapons are always on the target, finally cruisers don't have problems against fighters due to BFAW.

    - science vessels deal more damage and have stronger shields, also their science skills are way too powerful.

definitively, escorts don't stand a chance.

    PVE:
    - enemies have too strong shields and hull, so escorts (that are glass cannons ... ora at least WERE glass cannons, now are glass TRIBBLE) can't kill them in time and got killed.

but, guess what: cruisers and science vessels are the easy way out.
Strong shields, strong hull, awesome skills, MORE FIREPOWER (which is against the very base of this game) ...

now I got a question for you:
How do you think I feel now ?

I spent years gathering dil to buy my Fleet Ha'Feh (with Haakona parts) and elite fleet weapons and stuffs.

HOW DO YOU THINK I FEEL NOW ?

I'm guessing like like a mad broken glass cannon?

I think they've actually excluded anybody who doesn't do above 15-20K DPS. Not just escorts.

For the first time in years, I quit last night out of boredom. My sci captain only does about 7-8K DPS which for the last couple of years has been fine for most of the elite content, but now I'm relegated to playing normal level queued missions which don't give the rewards I need to get my new gear so there's really no point in playing the game now that I've completed all the new story content.

It's a shame really, more than 3,000 hours of game time logged and now I'm pretty much logging in to find out that it was all for naught and I just don't "cut it" for the content which a week ago I was able to do well.
Join date is wrong, I've actually been around since STO Beta.

easy to f*ck around with God mod on
that way you cant be killed
and we want justice and we want you to stop lying to people
you told advanced will be old elite
and now people with t5 fleet ships cant even finish simple fleet alert
or they fail at step 4 or they die 100 times until they finish it
before delta s*hit come online 20 people using mirror ships with white gear could finish fleet alert with out any problems
now 20 t5 fleet ships with fleet gear cant even finish it
you totaly killed any fun in this game
not everyone have God mod on like you do
and not everyone have 20 k or higher dps ships
you totaly f*cked up the game for new players
fix it and fix it soon
put the same lvl of difficulty like old elite put that in advanced
now you find borg sphere with 20 k dps that is just simply wrong
you totaly f*cked up the game for new players
not everyone is Donald Trumps kid and have millions to spend on a game
put playable content for casual players that dont have millions to spend
and for players that have 5-10 k dps ships
think about what you are doing
you are forcing more and more people to quit this game beacuse it is just to difficult now
i know you only care about money and how to get it
that is why you raised difficulty to force players to spend money to buy dill so that they can upgrade their gear
but guess what not everyone have money to spend on game
what about F2P players that dont spend any money on game why are you ruining the game for them
and forceing them to leave beacuse they cant match to new advanced beacuse you make it too difficult and you said you wont do that and you have don it anyway
why are you lying to people and why are you so greedy
I JUST WANT TO KNOW WHY CRYPTIC
You have been blocked from following this account at the request of the user.
so this is the way how cryptic is treating players
and by threating them with ban even permanent one
    if they dont shup up

    Agreed with index1985.

I think something is really wrong.

I have played the free to play for a year and a half and when I decided I liked it enough I did dig out my wallet and pay $50 for some in game items.

Eventually I worked my way up to get the Fleet Dreadnought Cruiser and even put the elite hangar pets in there.

Now my Fleet Dread is TRIBBLE.

Curious, I dug out my Even ship the Risian Luxery Cruiser and did the free upgrade to Tier 5U
It survices more than my fleet dread.

I thought to myself that maybe its just time to get a tier 6 ship.
Dug out my wallet and shelled out $30 last night for the Eclipse Intel Tier 6 Ship.

Even with all the fancy gizmos and not just fleet weapons but ELITE fleet weapons and Elite warp cores, Elite shields, and a elite deflector the difficulty is just physco

I too have seen the Federation Fleet alert and the difficulty seems to be at the level of all dreadnoughts coming at you at once. That is pretty messed up.

If I could reverse the charges on my debit card, you betcha I would probably do that right about this time until PWE/Cryptic can fix the game.

Most content is either too hard or too buggy to play. I think when all equipment and skills are maxed out, you may be able to achieve elite stfs with the optionals. I do not know if this was intended, but I restrain from hard language.

Dilithium, which is a core ressource to the game, is severly cut down. You need dilithium for equipment, for fleet projects and to convert it into zen to buy that precious stuff and pure vanity items. The three borg STFs, Infected, Cure and Kithomer have been a convenient way to gather your 8k dili for the day within an appropriate amount of time. Please return them as they have been. They are dear old friends of mine, I spent much time with them.
    Please fix that.

A minor issue, pure gaming convenience, is the sell item display. It shows before all R&D stuff. I don't want to sell R&D stuff for 0 (zero, nada, niente, null, nil) credits. It is always a scrolldown to the actual loot to sell. This does not affect skills, traits, doffs/boffs, missions and stfs, but still nagging every single time I go to a vendor.
    Please fix that.

Female 21st century formal wear suddenly had no visible legs after I went to the tailor.
Now its an evening dress floating above some shoes.
    Please fix that.

Maybe I misread it, but wasn't it part of the announcement that players will be able to spend additional skill points on their characters. After reaching lvl60, I had as a silver player one skill respec, but no new skill points to spend. Was this intended?
    Please answer that.

The step from T5 to T6 ships is acceptable. New ships, new skills, new traits, new new new...
It would have been a nice surprise by Cryptic to add to the release a single accountwide free upgrade token, so players could upgrade one of their favourite ships to T5-U and enjoy the new content and skills and may even be lured to purchase more tokens later for all the other ships they hold dear. You definetly missed a business oppurtunity here (a free piece of chocolate to likely buy the whole bar). 700 ZEN for one Token or 2k ZEN for four Tokens isn't just the same.
I do not ask you to fix that.

I won't ask you to release swimwear outfit to all maps in the game. (though I would see it as a kind of sincere apology by you to all the gamers who play that game)

We are the gamers who play this game, we spend hours in front of a screen, just like you programming, but WE PLAY THIS GAME. We purchase the ZEN, we spend the ZEN, we ragequit when someone let slip a probe in Kithomer or let Kang get below 75%, we suffer injuries and ship damages and we enjoy fulfilled optionals, we are happy as little children on christmas eve when we receive a lock box ship, we envy those with a swimwear bug, we lean back in our seats when we have filled the last high-end equipment into our ship, watching the finished masterpiece of long enduring work and then, happily, joining a queue, we are the gamers who play this game.

    PLEASE FIX THE GAME!

Adding to the choir here, enemies in advanced PVE matches have BROKEN amounts of health, content is unplayable.

Roll it back to where it was before this season.

I don't care about what was unbalanced before, this is not the way to fix it at all.

It took long enough to grind as things were before this season, I like the new upgrades and tech system, but getting high-end rewards from missions like the Borg STF's and Crystalline Entity is impossible.

I love this game but this has completely removed most of the missions I used to replay

Also Devs don't understand that this situation is critical for those who spend money too.

Free Players play to get dil, then they sell dil to buy CP.
Zen Players buy CP, then then sell CP to buy dil.

Cryptic cut this chain, so in short time no one would spend money anymore, causa no one could sell dil anymore and the game will die definitively.

Stop this now ... its not too late.
Restore PVE like it was on January 2014, it was good: voth ships were strong, but not unkillable, and good players who spent time in building their ships were able to play with dignity.

Its really umiliating for someone with Fleet T5 Ship and Elite Fleet Gear to play normal STF missions like a newbie :(

This game will die in short time if your greed will keep thinking in your place -_-

Many experienced players are telling you that your policy is wrong, many players are telling you to stop.

I read the mail you sent us on Christmas, you said last year was a great year for STO.
THEN WHY THE F*CK TO RUIN THE GAME THIS WAY ?

    What happened ?

Right now I'm mainly focused on leveling one toon because it takes way too long between story missions to hit a level to get to the next one. The filler content they provided for patrols isn't bad but the main grinding area on Kobali is boring.

STFs are crazy right now with things failing on Advanced most times. I thought that was going to be the same as Elites before DR and Elite would be the new make it or break it challenge? Don't get me wrong, advance is kinda fun but for PuGs it's a disaster.

Oh well, while I level one toon actively the others are slowly passively leveling with duty officer missions. I figure by the time I get my first toon to 60 the rest will be half way or more to 60 from duty officer missions alone being run each day. At least then I can chew through story missions faster and not have my fix put off so much I end up logging off and playing Skyrim or something to elevate the boredom.

You got some nice ideas for this expansion but I think the leveling execution was too long with to little decent or obvious filler between story missions.

PS. Still looking for a decent T6 Romulan and KDF science ships. Just because there are more Feds then stars in the sky doesn't mean you should ignore the other factions you created. It's a catch-22, if you don't build it they will never come and increase sales for those things. Might want to spend some time building it.

I dropped in to leave some feedback but it appears plenty of people have beat me to the punch, so I'll just add my voice to theirs.

For me and the group of people I play with, DR is unimpressive. There's some nice additions, but ultimately it feels like the core of the game has shifted more towards that small percentage of players that play at the min/max level. Sure, it's easy enough to look up builds and work towards maxing all the things, but not every gamer plays for that stuff. I've been playing since pre-release, on and off, and have lured various friends and family to the game with me. Until recently there's been 4 of us that group, casually as our schedules permit, and this xpac has driven two of them away because the game has become incredibly more grindy, and at best now all we can do is normal STF's when we were told that advanced would be the old elite.

I've spent hundreds of dollars on the game, including finally getting LTS this past summer, and have been happy to support STO financially because I've always found it to be a great game that lets everyone play and progress comfortably, from the most casual up the hardest of hard core, and that's not the case right now. Right now it's grindy. Right now it's boring. Right now it's too much of all of the above for players from here to the Reddit forums. As it stands, I'm pretty bummed out. I'm regretting getting LTS, and will be spending much less of my money and free time in space with STO, but watching to see if it comes around.. The game has been great the last year... hopefully we can get back to that.

Not entirey, though some may be reduced in value to their consoles. The Varanus, for example, did not receive any improvements when the other C-Store Science ships received a buff... but its console ended up in the cross-faction lock box and therefore became available for use on any KDF ship. Sure, the ship itself is obsolete, and has always been inferior to its competitors, but the console still has its uses.

Otherwise, you can spend a lesser amount of Zen to bring your existing T5-9 and T5-10 ships to T5-U10 and T5-U11 respectively, but be aware that these do not unlock any Starship Traits and have less boff seating than the T6 line (both T6-10 and T6-11). Otherwise, base stats vary, which could make some T5-U or T6 ships better than their alternatives... and if you're not a Federation captain and want anything Science, T5-U is your only option.

Then of course there are the gameplay and reward alterations that have drastically changed the overall game... that's all commented on in the previous pages (as well as pretty much everywhere else), so nothing really needs to be added beyond referring you to that topic. ;)

So the answer is: sort of...

700 Zen for a single Ship Upgrade, 2000 Zen for a 4-pack of Ship Upgrades; not a great deal, but at least they adjusted it so that applying a Ship Upgrade is account-wide and covers both the C-Store and Fleet versions.

Still, if you have an Event/Lobi/Lockbox/Promotion ship, or a Vet Ship, those get their Ship Upgrades at no cost; you might want to consider sticking with those until you feel like spending the Zen for a T6 ship, as some of the Starship Traits are pretty game-changing (depending on faction). Read through the Starship Traits (I know, I need to add the T6 Lobi/Lockbox ones) and consider what you could do with them, as those are unlocked for your captain... you aren't stuck in the ship those Starship Traits come from once you've completed Starship Mastery Level 5. You don't get those Starship Traits from a T5-U, unless you just want to use the ones from the Specializations... and it's been made very clear that they don't want us to unlock those at any sort of reasonable rate.

Season 10. It's own espansion, on par with LoR.

Delta Rising is an 'expansion', not a 'season'. Season 10 will come next. Like Season 7 came out, then LoR launched, then Season 8 came out.

From the 'upcoming content' page on the wiki, it looks like season 10 is going to feature a 'skill revamp', which is kind of worrying considering how much they've messed up with skills already haha.
Join date is wrong, I've actually been around since STO Beta.
