Intelligence Bridge Officers

Probably a really obvious answer, but where are they claimed from? Preferably in Very Rare (or better?) Quality. Are there any rewarded ones via the Delta Quadrant that I just haven't got to yet - excluding the Sontorran.

You can buy whites from the usual boff store, but that's it as far as I know (other than that free hierarchy boff you mentioned).

The Ops Pack gives 3 purple Intel Bridge Officers per character. Human, Vulcan, and Trill for Fed, Orion, Gorn, and Klingon for KDF, and Romulan, Reman, and Liberated Borg Romulan for Romulans. There is nothing for the Ops Pack that says these Boffs will be exclusive to the Ops Pack so either it will be in the C-Store or available through some other method.

...so we've got to further pay for these Intel Boffs too?

Is there no limit to Cryptic's greed? :(

Is it alright to elaborate more on the free hierarchy boff? Is it a mission reward?

My guess is that these will be available at some point in the future when they add a new fleet holding (a la embassy boffs). If these are bound for the c-store you can bet that Cryptic would have already given us Intel boff packs already (see. more money). There are of course other good possiblities (ex. intel recruitment doff assignments) but since those generally fall under the category of "give us very desirable stuff without having to grind for it" I think they're less likely than upcoming fleet-store content.

Yup. Spoilers if I said which one.

Just be sure you DON'T try customizing him ATM. The special heirarchy uniform options are bugged right now, so if you save any modifications to his appearance you'll loose them.

Until they fix it (it'll be easy enough to tell when they do) if you want a "personalized" Heirarchy officer I suggest using a standard alien. You'll ultimately have the same stuff to work with either way BUT you can be sure you're not potentally dumping any irreplacable customization options.

You wanting them for free is even greater greed.

Also in the Lobi store there are Talaxian Intel BOffs, check the exchange for prices.

Wasn't there the mention of them potentially being available in a DOFF pack in one of the podcasts? Meaning we'll likely see one of those 275 Zen Delta DOFF pack sorts of things, eh? Wonder if they'll stick that Vaadwaur boat in there as a promo reward as well...hrmmm...

I was expecting that when DR launched but I really can't see much of a reason besides "the pack broke" or "they now have other plans, ie. fleet TRIBBLE" for why it wasn't included on release.

There's all sorts of things that got pushed back...just weren't ready for the release date - it's going to be a gradual rolling out of things through S10 and beyond, eh? Course, that's been said about other things that didn't make the launch date and still aren't here...but this is more of a money item sort of thing, heh - so I'd expect to see it before we get into the Winter Event or around that time (but then again, that's just around the corner).

But demonstrably VR intel officer packs ARE working (through the DR ops bundle) and the demand is probably there for high quality intel officers (that aren't a chef or a potato) given all those new T6 ships flying about.

I don't think that this is one of those things that could have been pushed pack for technical reasons (at least straight forward ones) or to match a graudal release (since its easily marketable now and they do risk sales if people become satisfied with their common/silly choices), unless they think we've hit some sort of saturation point for C-store content (then an arbitrary delay in a c-store pack makes some sense, and in that case "by winter" is a reasonable guess.)

    It's the fundamental thing...cause currently:

    300 Lobi (or Exchange) Talaxian
    Mission Reward Hierarchy
    Dil Common

    ...or...

    Delta Operations Pack

An endeavor to sell more Ops Packs, eh? Basically giving themselves that period of time...to hook those folks.

I'm fine with my Hierarchy guy and the Talaxian, goes with the two Embassy Romulans, and the Nausicaan I'll eventually pick up from Diplomacy...to go with my Klingon Captain...cause that's how I roll Fed. :D

Possibly but it could work both ways. We're both fine with the silly choices but as we use them we may even become satisfied with them. So rather than picking up half a dozen intel boff packs to replace our entire crew with the same (but with more ability choices) we may find through time and experience (given to us by the arbitrary pack delay) that a couple of odd-balls is all we need to utilize intel mechanics.

I'm amazed they even have an open tailor for him.

On the contrary, I wish to earn them (through playing the content), not have them handed out for free.
