It's ok...I guess. I mainly got it b/c I wanted to see if the whole "T6" thing was just smoke. I have a ton of lobi and lockbox ships that upgrade for free but they're missing that final level of the ship advancement system.
It's OK if you got nothing else to upgrade but I wouldn't break your bank getting it.
My Fed Engineer is running a JHEC and Chel. I have a boxed up Nicor that I was going to open for him, but was thinking maybe I should wait and get a Hazari.
Was wondering the same thing, i have the lobi for it but i have also the faeht warbird and it just seems like it will be too similar in layouts to what i have already.
Might be worth hanging on until they decide to release a sci ship.
I like it , I use it in place of my fleet advanced escort, use the same set-up but got a extra LC engineer boff power (eptw3, you got to love it) and 11th console (so i can use the same consoles as my old ship and the shield-drone).
It seems a little meh to me to be honest. If that was a LC engineering slot instead of a science slot, then I'd be in love with it. Heck, if it had a LC engineer and a Lt universal (with an ensign sci or universal either one) I'd be in love with it. However, it's too engineering weak to run an Aux2Batt setup and too science heavy for my tastes. I just find I get a lot more out of a ship that's exclusively Tactical and Engineering, as the science powers tend to be somewhat ineffective compared to the advantages gained by an Aux2Batt setup.
A Fleet Patrol Escort just works so much better for me if I'm going to run something with a 4/3 layout. A Fleet Assault Cruiser works even better, and the Benthan Cruiser is better yet. Though, I will miss my Assault Cruiser
Just theory crafting here, but that LtCDR sci slot is great for an escort. You get to run Grav Well, which is amazing for escorts. Very few escorts/raptors can boast that.
A2Bat is overrated and I wouldn't run it on this ship anyway. You've got a CMDR and LT tac seats. You have the redundancy to NOT need A2Bat. Coupled with a hull that makes heavy cruisers blush and the shield mod of a sci ship, and honestly if you don't like it because you want to run A2Bat you need to open your eyes a bit. There are vaster possibilities awaiting you.
Overall on paper it looks super OP. That means IMO it's good. I dislike the looks, myself, but looking at the stats if you want a T6 escort here ya go.

A2B is not necessary on an Escort or Destroyer. It's only needed if you want to DPS with a Tac oriented Cruiser/Battle Cruiser. I have the Lobi for it, I'm just trying to decide if I want it on my Tac or Engineer. My Eng has the Mobius and I have the same set up as this BoFF wise. This ship is basically a Mobius after a cycle of roids, too bad it doesn't look as good.
So ill take the other side of the fence with a2b. I chose the Hazari to be a tanky speed scort. It had optimal seating for this. I also went beams, why because it did not have 5 foward the raptor and rom t6 ship have better set ups for dhc frontal dps.
I run attqck pattern doffs, with a2b doff.
Intel team, subsytem override
Do you know how awsome it is to have subsystem override almost perma with 160weapon power with almost perma omega= devastating.
Now dont get be wrong the new stf require more than dps they require more hull eating powers like grav well. But there are other ways to bypass shields. I run a ranibow of disruptors with elachi = both dis proc nanite and reg + elachi chance to bypass also in cap specialisation they have pentration skill.
I choose this set up for pvp because all the def buffs, I feel cannons are going to loose out to bfaw with auto hit letting you specialize in crth or crtd.
The destroyer is a great ship, I dont know why it gets alot of hate. I think it doesnt get alot of hype because there's really nothing super special about it. What people I think dont see is it is very well rounded, as tough as a battle cruiser with the speed and firepower of a escort. In the right hands she more than just a escort she is a true destroyer.

Aux2Batt isn't overrated. Cuts your boff cooldowns in half, lets you keep both EPtS 1 and EPtW 3 up 100% of the time, and allows you to use the new intelligence subsystem safeties override that much more often. Not to mention the tremendous power boost to weapons, shields, and engines, and access to hazard emitters twice as often (which is essential for clearing plasma fires in the new STF). Can this ship perform reasonably well without it? Yeah, but it'd be much more amazing with it, and it won't perform on the same level as cruisers like the Benthan or even T5-U Fleet Assault cruisers.
Things like gravity well just aren't that helpful to a ship that doesn't specialize in exotic dmg with high Aux power. It won't hit all that hard, and it costs you too much to make use of.
Maybe they can provide a skin for it so we can fly around in Capt Protons Rocket Ship
I have this and although it is a nice T6 destroyer, I just found it didn't have the wow factor the Benthan cruiser has. Now, I think it maybe to do with loadout and with the correct build will do a lot of dmg. For example, on all ships I'm noticing a slight loss of accuracy with the new mobs. On a canon boat this could leak a lot of dps in dodges. So maybe accuracy procs are important for this type of build. I'm thinking a protonic polaron build might be a good stop gap till we get the new specilizations and masteries into our builds. With that you can use the dyson consoles that +2.5% accuracy, buffs a selected dmg type and provides +15% proton dmg. A couple of these on a canon ship with a couple of vun exploiters may provide a nice boost to dmg output. There may also be fleet variants to buff your ACC too so you can use what ever dmg type you like.

You can also run the two EPTX powers thing using a Drake setup, and that doesen't tank your aux which means you can take advantage of the amazing Nukara Traits, as well as the possibilities the science seating enjoys.

Nailed it. Especially in delta rising, energy weapons are inferior to particle damage. You can beat the hard stuff with pew pew, but the guys farming the new elite "too easily" to quote gecko, are using sci powers not aux2bat.

nice bridge not much by way of customisation ie 2 skin colors that's it
ok as a t6 I guess certainly cheaper than the zen ship

If any reason to get it is for the intel seat. Its got decent hull and shields though for an escort class.
