Subscribers should get a free ship upgrade token

Hey there PWE/ARC,

what about that loyal subscribers get an upgrade token for free?

I would really appreciate that :)

    That's what your 500 Zen a month stipend if for in their eyes.

    Except ONE token is 700 zen, so your stipend doesn't cover it. :)

    And a t6 ship is 3k. Which is far from 500zen (6months of stipend). While the token allowed you to "buy" a ship, for free, and still keep your stipend.

    They should give that and much more to subscribers. As it stands, there is no real advantage to continuing to subscribe. They have discontinued Vet Rewards, and all playable content is available to F2P. You are better off canceling the sub and using the $15 each month to buy Zen!!!

    Which people have been saying since the first day of FTP. The only reason to Sub after FTP is if you were close to some Vet Reward threshold and wanted to achieve it before stopping your Subscription.
    STO is about my Liberated Borg Federation Captain with his Breen 1st Officer, Jem'Hadar Tactical Officer, Liberated Borg Engineering Officer, Android Ops Officer, Photonic Science Officer, Gorn Science Officer, and Reman Medical Officer jumping into their Jem'Hadar Carrier and flying off to do missions for the new Romulan Empire. But for some players allowing a T5 Connie to be used breaks the canon in the game.

    Multi-Vector Advanced Escort 2000 C = 2500 Zen + Fleet Advanced Escort as an upgrade 500 Zen = 3000 Zen + 700 Zen for an upgrade token = 3700 Zen. Not likely

    Ship upgrade tokens are not bound to account, you can purchase then for EC off the exchange.

    3 days into the expansion, and they can be found for 11 million EC.

    Point I think is, the value of LTS/subscription now is 0. Its not worth to pay the money, the rewards for your loyalty have been given away to the f2pers.

    Subscribing has no value, but an LTS does in my eyes. I enjoy the fluffy items, I think the Dainos Warbird is the best option for my tac, I never have to worry about inventory space if I want to create a new character, and the stipend is nice. I can see how the investment might not be worth it to some. There is also an element of brand-loyalty involved, where I didnt feel bad at all paying for the LTS because I appreciate the countless hours of entertainment I have gotten from sto.


    What gets me is the sense of entitlement that the f2p players have, talking about things like money grabs, and dilithium nerfs, crying because its gonna take them x amount of time to earn enough zen for a upgrade token etc.

    i would like to suggest adding it to the vet rewards but would need to be non sellable like the free T5 ship token
