Still Crashing

From todays patch notes:

Resolved a number of issues causing graphic and UI related crashes.

However, I am still crashing before I even get into the game. :(
I can load up the game normally, get to the character select menu, begin to load the map, and then the game crashes to desktop. Before todays patch, i was at least getting 30 seconds to a minute's gameplay before a crash.

I have already made a thread about this in the bug report forum when delta rising was released to holodeck on tuesday. (link) http://http://sto-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?t=1253351.
However, after the todays patch, things have gotten worse for me, not better. :(

Im Curious to know how many others are still affected by crashes after todays patch.

Anyway, thanks to the devs for solving somebody's problems, shame its not mine. i really want to try out delta rising.

I have a friend with a similar problem.

He gets to the laucher then it crashes and he can't start the game.

Right there with you. I'm just going to remain patient.

Unfortunately–and perhaps your issue has a similar outcome–when I crash to Desktop, the Error Tracker either freezes and doesn't give any report to post or immediately closes. I don't know how to help the Devs when the Error Tracker isn't even functioning properly.

I get the Error trackor. but it gives me the same ID every time - 25663486.

you're right about remaining patient though. no point ranting and raving, it wont get the problem fixed any faster. as long as the devs are aware there is a problem, they'll try ti fix it, im sure. :)

Never know, if they find a solution before the weekend, they may do an emergency maintenence on Friday. I suppose it will depends on how many people it affects, and how complicated a fix it is. I dont have high hopes though. :(
