I do find it odd that they pulled azure; I always enjoyed it.

They didn't pull it. It's one of a number of missions that broke when DR was released, they're working on fixing them now. Check today's release notes.
You don't need rep to go to NR. The only people who can't go there are Romulans who haven't discovered it yet.

What do you mean by 'no rep'? are you level 50? or still 45 or something?
Get to 50, buy 3 biologist doffs with efficient trait and do epohh tagging in addition to all the other stuff everyone mentioned.
epohs are a pain the in TRIBBLE... when I do it I guess like enough to earn 1 or 2 items... not enough to get an epoh... wants me to come back the next day... sorry but I dont like grinding like that. the time requirement is TRIBBLE... it should be more like the junior duty officer scans... I should be able to tag as many as I want till I get bored and then reward me with tags for research. I dont mind if they cap the tags so you can only get a max of 1 epoh and if you get max in under a time frame you get bonus tags. current set up is frustrating.
If you group with other people to do tagging, you can get enough to get an Epohh I believe.
Correct. Just look in zone chat for posts looking for fedkdf tagging teams. Solo you can get enough for the doff mission every two days. Teamed with one or two people you can get you max four tags daily.
Just do the same combat sector 5 times in a row on normal mode even with worst gear it should take you about 25 minutes total and even with a mix of mark 11 greens/blues i can do it in about 10 minutes total.
As a fed epohh are great since its easy to team up as a kdf not so much with the limited population its hard to find a team to do epohh farming (you really only need 1 other person as long as you spread out).
Doing epohh tagging solo is a pain the best i have been able to do solo is 25 tags which is short of the 30 needed.
The startup is a pain but once you start to gain momentum you get 400 romulan marks every 5 days from epohh. I havent started epohhs from scratch in a while so i might be a bit rusty but assuming your doffs are all non-crits you are looking at 400 marks every 5 days, which is equivalent to 80 marks a day. Day 9 is when you first get your 400marks. So its Day 9-14-19-24-29. Thats assuming the doff missions do not crit. So 9 days to see your first 400 marks then every 5 days is when you see your next 400 marks. Less then 5 days if you are lucky and the doff missions crit.
400 marks every 5 days...equivalent to 80 marks a day....all that for less than 2 minutes of work each day. And i do mean 2 minutes as in 2 minutes...1:30 for the tagging mission and roughly 30seconds for the misc tasks like starting up the doff mission or walking the 5 feet to go from this vendor to that.
Day 1 - make sure to tag 30+ epohh so you get 4 tags do 24 hour project for 1 research
Day 2 - tag epohh, get 1st research, start 24 hour project for 1 research
Day 3 - tag epohh, get 2nd research, start 24 hour project for 1 research
Day 4 - tag epohh, get 3rd research, start 24 hour project for 1 research
Day 5 - tag epohh, get 4th research, start 24 hour project for 1 research
Day 6 - tag epohh, get 5th research, buy baby epohh, start 24hr projects for moppett and 1 research
Day 7 - tag epohh, get 1st research, get moppett epohh start 24hr projects for adult and 1 research
Day 8 - tag epohh, get 2nd research, get adult epohh start 24hr projects for elder and 1 research
Day 9 - tag epohh, get 3rd research, get elder epohh trade in for 400 marks, start project for 1 research
Day 10 - tag epohh, get 4th research, start project for 1 research
Day 11 - tag epohh, get 5th research, buy baby epohh, start 24hr projects for moppett and 1 research

Wait a day or two for Azure Nebula. Trust me, no one's desperately waiting for you to finish your New Romulus rep.
A player cannot TRANSWARP to New Romulus until they reach T1 of the Rep... However, every player in the game can take their ship and traverse the sectors to actually GO to New Romulus...
If all you're doing is Transwarping, then you're missing part of STO that you shouldn't be missing...

Just a minor correction, but T1 New Romulus is transwarp to Tau Dewa but close enough i guess. A Romulan/Reman toon will have transwarp directly to New Romulus. But normal fed or kdf Tau Dewa by the dyson sphere is the closest they can get. But its only a few seconds away from NR so no biggie.
Also funny that you should mention the other stuff about transwarp though. I think a few weeks ago i was talking to another forum member and it seemed like he was talking about how his quest progress halted or he couldnt do something or it would take too long cause he couldnt afford transwarp. I forget what exactly it was about. But i asked him or told him...you know you can fly there right?
