It should read: October 16th from 7-9:30am Pacific (14:00-16:30 UTC). Perhaps whoever is writing these notifications on the launcher should use http://www.worldtimebuddy.com/pst-to-utc-converter to get the times right?

No. It's the fact that they don't know how to use the 24-hr format.

I can still fight.

perhaps they want to make you feel like you are living in a time warp, or maybe they just dont know how a 24hour clock works.
When I think about everything we've been through together,
maybe it's not the destination that matters, maybe it's the journey,
and if that journey takes a little longer,
so we can do something we all believe in,
I can't think of any place I'd rather be or any people I'd rather be with.

Can't tell if serious or trolling...
But yes 1am Pacific does not = 01:00 UTC, it is 13:00
We are more than aware we are ahead, cryptic seem to believe we are behind :P
Best bit, the link they use for "your time zone" - does it right. So why don't they use that for the UTC and check before posting.
It's not a matter of like. UTC is by definition a 24 hour format; there is no AM or PM in UTC.
1. americans dont know about 24h clocks &
2. the american timezones are the only timeszones wich a relevant
I think this sums it up.
