mods on gear from UR Mk 12 to Mk 13+

If I upgrade my gear that is already UR Mk 12... do they change? I read that they are random when you upgrade... is that right?

    IF it goes from UR to gold it will gain a random new mod, but keep the old ones.

    For things like weps, I thought ONLY the UR mods are random, whereas the Gold mods are fixed?

    Oh right, yeah, sorry. Gold items get specific mods added to them. the ones I remember are basically double mods that have the same effect as 2 normal mods.

    Unfortunately, some are bugged. I got my Fleet core to MK 14 epic, and it gains a second [w->s] mod, but after equipping it, I got no extra power, only the single [w->s] worked.

    Speaking of mods, someone linked in chat an upgraded rare quality shield that gained a [Turn] mod. But you see no stats for it in the shield :D
