Friends in Unlikely Places - Viral Beam Array

This mission has a fatal error for ships with Sensor Analysis or other special abilities trays. The Viral Beam array does not show up to be used. Mission is unplayable with Science ship.

Mission: Friends in Unlikely Places - Lost Connection to Server

Character: Katsumi Azer
Ship type: Long Range Science Vessel Retrofit [T5-U]
Level: 52

Error correction attempts:
Leaving and Re-entering the system.
Dropping the mission and Retaking.
Switching to another Science Vessel.

Suspected issue: if a special tray exists it is not being updated with the Viral Beam Array Object. Error is consistent across vessels with Sensor Analysis.

Possibly affected ships: Science vessels, and ships with sensor analysis.

Suggested Fix: use an if statement to check for special tray if tray exists add object.

I played this on my personal account yesterday, flying a Palisade Science Vessel and did not experience this issue.

Anyone else have this same thing happen, in other vessels?

I believe this might not be only related to the Viral Beam Array

Recently, while flying a Tac-Rom (KDF-aligned) flying a C-Store D'deridex Refit, the special ship tray containing my Singularity abilities didn't show up. The abilities were still present in my ship tray, and the Rearrange UI showed the tray was exactly where I left it... it simply refused to show up. No amount of map changes, log out-and-in or anything changed that fact.

Same general thing on my Sci KDF toon flying a regular Vo'quv - the two hanger bays show up fine, but the special tray with Sensor Analysis doesn't

Edit: While playing this mission as an Eng-Fed, flying the T5 Excelsior, the special ship slot with the Viral Beam Array showed up fine... but then again, that character didn't use the special ship tray before, period. Maybe the new code just unintentionally overwrites previous ship tray abilities being used, hiding them?

I had this problem on the Wells when I switched out. I am tempted to transfer my catian carrier and see if I can duplicate the issue.

The next time one of you are on that map, and the power tray doesn't appear, or doesn't have the Viral Beam Array present, try hitting ESC until the game menu comes up, then ESC again to return to the game.

Does the UI Window appear then?

If so, this is an older bug that's resurfacing for some reason.

Just tried it now - but unfortunately, even after five tries (per affected character), no luck :/ It just won't show

I had trouble finding the "Viral Beam Array" until I found they renamed the Power to "Borg Conversion" .. showed up in my tray already for me.

I can report that I'm also having this issue - albeit with an Atrox. Once I switched to a non-subsystem targeting ship, the "Borg Conversion" beam showed up.

I was just having this issue in my T5-U Palisade Science vessel on my KDF science captain.

Leaving and re-entering failed to resolve the issue, as did checking my trays. However, it did show up once I let a borg cube kill me.
