Buyng Zen with steam

I demand an explanation from the Community managers, devs, or whoever is in charge WHY they did not give a HEADS UP to no longer being able to purchase Zen through Steam.

This is idiotic ,and another nail in the coffin for the game.

If its a bug, i demand attention to it now, because i am trying to PAY FOR A SERVICE from you, and this is POOR, REALLY poor customer service.

I would like Acknowledgment anyway that the team is working on this.

For me to be able to NOT spend my money how and the way i have been for so long may just put the nail in the coffin for me and make me stop playing. This is Ridiculous. You gave ZERO warning.

No warning made me WASTE 25 dollars, i will NOT use Arc for the game, or to purchase Zen. Not without a formal WARNING that you are stopping steam services.

Address the issue please.

    Did you disable the overlay, which is necessary for confirmation?

    The overlay is not disabled. I can buy things in other games, just fine.

    The Steam interface with PW goes down several times a year. A quick search through the C-Store section of the forum will turn up several threads similar to this one from over the years. Every instance that I am aware of required Steam to make an adjustment on their side. You might want to contact Steam as well as filing a Support Ticket with PW.
    STO is about my Liberated Borg Federation Captain with his Breen 1st Officer, Jem'Hadar Tactical Officer, Liberated Borg Engineering Officer, Android Ops Officer, Photonic Science Officer, Gorn Science Officer, and Reman Medical Officer jumping into their Jem'Hadar Carrier and flying off to do missions for the new Romulan Empire. But for some players allowing a T5 Connie to be used breaks the canon in the game.

    Plus that money is still in your steam wallet unless you spent it elsewhere. You can wait for a fix or contact steam to cancel the transaction.

    Also, upon checking, my steam wallet still has 12 bucks in it, huzzah!

    Sent this on to the team for investigation.

    This is not working as intended, this is something we are looking attempting to correct.

    The Steam Page should be fixed now and ZEN should now again be purchasable from the page.

    CaptainSmirk, purchasing Zen through Steam has been disabled since Steam forced users in Japan (and perhaps other countries?) to use local currency instead of US$, back in August. I have no option to switch currency back to US$ in Steam.

    The Steam overlay is working. However, when I attempt to buy Zen with the Steam wallet, I am not shown any prices. All I see is a blank dialog.

    I have put in a support ticket with Steam. They said it is an issue with the game, not Steam.

    I have put in a support ticket with PWE. They said they would look into it. That was late August.

    Please enable support for Steam purchases in currencies other than US$.

    PWE may be pushing Arc, but they would be killing themselves by dissing or ditching Steam.

    The system may have just had a temporary hiccup. Chillax and wait a bit.

    Thanks, but it's been about 2 months. I don't think that's a "temporary hiccup."

    I think it was Alf who said that there are 63 ways to skin a cat.

    There are different ways to buy Zen. If one doesn't work, try another. Then take a chill pill and cool it.

    Purchased Zen through Steam just 2 hours ago, without a hitch.

    14 octber 18h30 (east) buy zen button still get the blank screen

    I have that same problem Canadian dollars here as well. I have not been able to use my steam wallet funds since Oct 17 2014. This is so annoying I have real money that PWE would think they would want and I cannot spend it. The longer I am not able the less chance I will spend money in the future. And given from what I have been reading this game is loosing a lot of people as it is due to this nerf of a expansion. Every player matters and many are leaving.

    1. Steam
    2. Arc
    3. PWE Charge Zen web page
    4. Prepaid Zen card

    So we really have no excuse for blaming Cryptic/PWE if we refuse to use one of the other available purchasing options.

    None of these options allow me to use the already spent money from Steam. I am not spending more when perfectly good money is already there to be used. If you have unending pockets of money then power to you but this is not acceptable.
    The point is there is no excuse for Cryptic / PWE to not fix a problem that is stopping me from using my current steam money.
