...talking to players is like being a mall Santa. Everyone immediately wants to tell you all of the things they want, and you are absolutely powerless to deliver 99% of them.
Nitpicking is a time-honored tradition of science fiction. Asking your readers not to worry about the "little things" is like asking a dog not to sniff at people's crotches. If there's something that appears to violate natural laws, then you can expect someone's going to point it out. That's just the way things are.
It should have "ended" after F2P. Cryptic should have just stopped selling them (but still supported it).
And every year make a new pack. Refine more dilithium? Sure. Stack it on.
As a vet, i do not deserve more than was promised to me when I bought it originally. And that was 5 years ago.
I'm with you on this. PWE / Cryptic should just put a stop to all this. Either pull the rewards or throw them in to the store for all to buy.
All this self entitlement bull is really starting to annoy me. We helped get the game off the ground, we gave a massive cash injection when it was needed, that does not entitle us to keep milking it.
I know there's vet rewards, and LTS perks but I've never seen a vet pack.
If you've nothing to add, then why waste time being pedantic?
You know what the OP and others are on about. If your bored, try a book, go outside, find a romantic partner and go break some bed springs - but don't lower yourself to troll level, you're better than that.
We already know that they are T5. It is old news. However, I recall Smirk mentioned on the live stream the other day about there being some talk going on back Vet stuff but that he could not say anything it.
Nope, you get what you pay for at the time you pay it. Demanding more is just childish in my opinion.

So "childish" and "pedantic" are bad, but arrogant is ok?
That something called a lifetime subscription should remain completely static while the game continues to expand seems silly to me. They don't have to give away the store, but adding a couple of goodies for each expansion, like a T6 ship, or a couple of upgrade tokens and a new skin, or something like that seems reasonable.
I would rather hope the rumors are true and would rather see a 1500-2k vet T6 ship
Cryptic will not add any veteran rewards past 1000 days. Any veteran reward past 1000 days is just another Lifetime perk that regular subscribers will likely not obtain. So a Veteran Tier 6 ship will not happen unless the Veteran system is modified.

He didnt demand at all.
he just said he "thinks" they should. I dont know about you but my definition of demanding is somewhere along the lines of "I payed $200 or more for my vertaran rewards and you must add everything that tier 6 ships offer to my ships".
thats demanding. He just spoke his mind on the topic.

I'm not saying vet ships should be the best in game but should be up to date not left behind .. if there's other ships like the t6 that outdated a vet ship I can't call it a vet ship now can I?
Vet package is fine where it stands. The rewards are doled out every 100 days for 1000 days and the ship at the end of the line is freely upgraded to be viable at T6. It's perfectly fine.
Lifers should get a little more though. Free upgrades for all ships would be my preference but I'd happily settle for a free upgrade token on hitting level 60 with a toon. Sure it's not necessary - Lifers get what they paid for already and that's all we really need - but I feel that adding value to the deal at great junctures like an expansion release is a great way to let current Lifers know our investment is still appreciated and as a means to entice future LTS purchases with timely, relevant bonuses sweetening the deal. They already did this once with the Lib. Borg Romulan playable race. They didn't have to make those since they were never promised in the original deal, but we have them anyway.

The LTS has as much to sell it now as it ever did... I find it improbable anyone would have bought the LTS just for instant access to the Veteran Destroyer... People bought it for the entire package...
The Veteran Destroyer receiving a free T5U upgrade is already additional sweetener to a new LTS buyer, as it means that a new player will not need to worry about getting a T6 ship, or having to spend more money upgrading other ships to T5U...
Though Smirk did mention the LTS rewards are being looked at and will possibly be spiced up, Cryptic are in all frankness under no obligation to make any additional LTS rewards retroactive...
Cryptic would be unable to retroactively remove playable Borg (your characters defaulting to a Human, Klingon or Romulan) as this was a condition at the time of sale... Conversely, adding new content does not mean Cryptic are required to retroactively offer this to existing LTS accounts for the same reason - it would definitely be nice and I would not refuse additional bonuses, but I would also not be upset if I did not receive them as I understand I purchased the LTS as it was at the time, not what it is after additional updates...
Why? Why would that have been a big deal, but getting nothing with Delta Rising no biggie?
The difference is that Delta Rising does not add any new Veteran rewards to any faction...
Adding the Romulans, but then failing to cater for them through the Veteran program, would have been quite silly and short-sighted, as they are an entirely new faction...
Though Cryptic could have possibly gotten around this by Romulans receiving the same rewards as their 'allied' faction, people would have complained that this was selling them short - there was already enough ******** they were not a 'real faction' because they were forced to side with one or the other, this would have only exacerbated this issue...
It would be the same if, for example, playable Cardassians were added - new Veteran rewards would need to be made available for this new faction also, else certain segments of the community would go into meltdown...

How is it that you're a veteran and you cannot tell who the right Spot is?!
