Thats actually something i have never done, swapping consoles during a battle...but hey, if you want to use that as an excuse to try to flame me, sure go ahead..
Also, when have i lied?
I necer say you did it but ask your Fleethomies.
I don't understand why you are so angry? If i happened to shoot down your ship in Ker'rat, im sorry, but thats actually what PVP is about...
Dream on,.. i never see you there.. since this would mean you go sometimes in the arena where real PvP is playedand and if we meet there once .. you will already notice.
NO BS 1, 2, 3, 4 .. DK 1, 2 .. German summer event .. where you there real PvP was played.
On this question I would like to hear an answer .. my second question then behind .. how do you come then to the people to tell here what is real and what is not real PvP.
It's like when a baker wants to tell a mechanic how to repair car.

Oh, seems like you know more about me than most people... how can you know? Thats a bold statement my friend.
Trying to question my "credentials" is kinda funny in its own way cause i really dont need to have any, and even if i did. or may not have had any... I still created this thread, and i still created the channel.. and you should accept that, and that people are wanting to join it..
I totally agree that I don't know about your habits or your spent time in the arena, but what I know is that you have little to no experience in competing and fleet-based premade pvp which consequently makes you ineligible to rate or judge about factors like "grinding", "competitiveness" or "capabilities" of team players in this classification of pvp as opposed to other categories like 1v1 or public arena in which I share your perspective.
I have never questioned the creation of your pvp-channel or your legitimation for 1v1/warzone pvp but you cannot exhibit any proper participation in fleet premade pvp via ts neither in private matches nor in any tournament or similar pvp-events in the past. I have never seen the handle @torach in any fleet premades we've encountered in tourneys or organized matches the last 2 years. Given these facts you simply dont have the required eligibility and right to judge or evaluate how grindy, competitive, flexible and rich in variety fleet vs fleet pvp is. You put up this thesis in previous posts.
Tell me where have you been the last 2 years in that category of pvp? The chance that we've missed to face you during such a large period of time is more than minimal. The number of pvp players in this pvp classification is very manageable so that almost every fleet and its members have been knowing each other. My statement is only based on this logical conclusion nothing else.
From my side it is irrelevant whether you create a new pvp channel and people joining it or not but calling it "Real PvP" is very inaccurate and flawed since you are unable to produce adequate know-how in every category of STO's PvP.
I don't understand why you are so angry? If i happened to shoot down your ship in Ker'rat, im sorry, but thats actually what PVP is about...

Torach is in HOBO's ts all the time and in kerrat all the time... PvP is all he does. And I'll be bringing all the different cheese cryptic gives us in multiple builds. That's the fun of this game out building your opponents.

To defeat Pugs in the zone is not a big deal.

Anyway, i plan to upgrade EVERYTHING and continue to PVP as usual and i wont be the only one. thanks for the invite to the channel. but hey just because you do one doesnt mean you cant do the other. and console swapping is nothing (considering every console is going to be 2 mins anyway) like 3rd party programs some fleets that claim they're great used to use. pm me for links to prove my point:)

We don't need to see all of this breast-beating to decide who's qualified to PvP or create channels for PvP or to make posts about PvP.
The question that has mainly been discussed (besides the obvious half-assed attempts at forum pvp) isn't about the validity of creating this channel, but the name and the implications drawn from the OP that heavily advertises his channel and way of playing PvP as the "true way".
This thread is ment to advertise and promote the true path in PVP.
Hence a discussion about the actual qualifications of the OP to moderate the channel, plus the existence of multiple other pvp channels that basically do the same but are not as exclusive (invite only) or presumptuous ("true way") at the same time. These are of course all opinions, hence the need for a discussion. So what you see as breast-beating is an attempt to confute the OPs qualifications as a "true PvPer" regarding the full spectrum of PvP that this game offers.
Furthermore considering the timeline that lead to the creation of this thread any assumption from forum members that this might actually be a troll thread can be seen as valid (of course excessive flaming in retaliation is still a no go). The other thread "VPvP", where the OP has posted, is already under heavy moderation partly due to his involvement.
Look, the thing about this MMO is that it follows the mantra of "There's More Than One Way To Play It". (TMTOWTPI)
VPvP is not wrong. Neither is the "Everything Goes" approach. All that matters is that you're playing with people who are following the same rules you are.
Now the default is "Everything Goes" because that's how they built the game. Torach is not wrong that the Devs want people to use all of this stuff, and that they are largely going to be "Working as Intended".
Voporak is not wrong that the level cap increase, the Specializations, the Starship Mastery, the Gear Upgrades, and the T6 ships are going to fundamentally change the PvP landscape. I believe he's right that a lot of people won't be able to catch up.
His concept for the VPvP channel is to try to level the playing field. It's a valid Community-Driven approach that's not for everybody. It requires a certain amount of trust that people aren't going to try to sneak in anything that's disallowed, but it's usually pretty obvious when something gets fired off.
Don't forget there's still TD and OPvP and probably other channels I don't know about.
Use the channels and the forums as a tool for finding other people who want to play PvP the same way you do.
DON'T use the forums to tell other people the "Right Way" to play, because TMTOWTPI and because it just makes people mad.
As far as I'm concerned "real PvP" and "true PvP" is just Torach marketing his approach to get people to join his channel. I take that with a grain of salt and so should everyone here. It's besides the point.
You don't like his approach? Don't join the channel. There's no need to argue about it.

Then what's the point of a forum in the first place? I mean, i can always play the "it's just an opinion" card and end every discussion ever, but that's not what we are here for. We are here to give our opinions besides those of the OP and other alternatives. Even downplaying the OPs qualifications is an anti marketing tool, because you want your opinion to be validated by others.
This is an open forum and nobody is violating forum rules by having a different opinion then the OP. Just because he intended this thread to be his personal marketing tool doesn't mean, that that is actually the case.

If you want to PvP without restrictions all you have to do it team up, Q up, or enter Ker'rat.
Or a private match.
I don't need a channel to do any of those.
And if I do want to team up before Q'ing I'll ask on OPvP.
If it dies out, or become lager than most pvp channels.. should it really matter to you in any way if you dont want to participate? Why shouldn't people be allowed to join if they want to?
And does it matter if its simular to any other channel?
I mean, I could of made a channel to advertise that you can only use weapons that fire spesific colours..... silly as it might be.. i should still be free to create a place for people liking those spesific colours.... Also, it shouldn't matter if im an expert in using those spesific colours or not....

To both PvP and VPvP fanboys; PvP sucks in general. It doesn't matter how much to argue for its its broken and needs a major overhaul. To the "true" pvpers; you're correct, vpvp is a haven to those who either won't accept that their builds are outdated or that their ships are obsolete, or can't figure out how to PvP. And to vpvpers; its absolutely true that normal PvP is based solely on small, fast, op ships whose one trick is alpha strikes and hoping to simply overwhelm their target with brute force, and that's the only thing you'll find. Pvpers don't fly the ships they want to fly, they fly whatever is currently the most powerful build at the time. So, to both sides, I say STFU, no one cares, play your own way and just let it go.

If you put it that way, I'll rephrase that with vpvp then, let's see if you like it.
That channel will die out...
There's no reason to join...
A bunch of frustrated PvPers who can't adapt to the meta...
Some vpvp members keep making themselves ridiculous by keeping posting in here. You clearly show that you didn't join it because you wanted an alternative game mode, but because you hate current meta, thus keep raging about it. Bringing up nonsense topics is the icing cake, because you don't have a single clue about what RPVP talks about.

I'm open for inputs from any member of the STO forums.
You are correct that nobody violates the rules from having a different opinion than me, but people do violate the rules by directly trying to insult me and raging a flamewar in the thread.
People still seems to think i have a hidden agenda for creating this thread.. i do not, i simply want to inform about and invite anyone that wants to, to join the channel.
And for the people that think it matters what qualifications i have personally, there are already members in the channel from all types of playstyles, fleets, and factions. Some of these people has proven their qualifications of being almost undefeated in what hannibal describes as "high end fleet vs fleet" arena pvp. Thats why people can question my spesific qualifications as much as they want..

You still didn't get what I expressed in my last posts: I don't care if you create pvp-channels or not, you can create 150 pvp-channels a day if you like. And yes you dont Need ANY legitimiation in order to make a new channel, everyone can do it. I was referring to your point of view regarding sto's actual metagame and requirements for pvp nowadays dealing with your thesis about sto pvp being not grind-heavy and time-consuming at all and so on... I won't repeat everything again.
I intended to convey and proove that certain classifications of pvp are grind-heavy thoroughly, taking alot of efforts and cost plenty of time since way more aspects need to be taken into consideration than friendly games with buddies, 1v1 or warzone pvp, if you believe it or not. With that said I only questioned your eligibility and legitimation for fleet-based premade pvp , in which you have still been involved barely not your credentials about having the right to open up new channels. For that reason it is by far insufficient to be eligible for a judgement about this type of pvp. As a result there is no context between questioning credentials of your knowledge and experience about certain categories in pvp and questioning legitimation about the occassion to create a pvp channel since I've never argued about anything in terms of that, not even close.
Oh, but you really dont have to spend alot of time... There are ways of earning both EC and dilithium in game, and depending how fast you want it, or how much. They don't have to. And you don't know my habits, also you dont know how much time i spend in arena, i used to, and still run friendly 5v5 challenges alot with a bunch of friends i had since i started this game.
Sometimes, I ask myself the question whether you even read my entire replies or if you quote immediately after perceiving them.

i really wish you knew what you are talking about, while i agree PvP in this game has issues. VPvP has a large number of Inner Circle, HoBo , sad panda, 32nd vipers.
if you think those groups dont know how to PvP........

I understood everything just fine, thank you..
You are trying to convince me that "Your certain classifications of PVP" requires alot more effort and alot more grind than "my classifications of pvp" and more or less glorify your view to be more challenging. I also see that its inconceivable for you to accept that there might exist great high-end players in the game that loves PVP and have made a spesific choice not to participate in "your classification", mostly because of the attitude you are displaying here right now.
Bluegeek made a real good description of what this is, its just "breast-beating" to convince others of your view, and i agree with him, we really don't need it here...or in the game in general..

I am not willing to convince anyone of my point of view about PvP since at least I respect the other folk's opinions as opposed to you do in your thread. Your own banal thesis about overall STO PvP was the cause to present and convey a different option of how pvp can be run else which you misinterpreted as "breast-beating".
Btw before lecturing about my attitude towards pvp I recommend you to work on your deficient one first. The creation of this channel here was an obvious reaction to the success of VPvP due to jealousy and embitterment because you were unable to tolerate certain playstyles anymore. Moreover I've even read that you publicly offended VPvP supporters as "being disabled" in some past replies. Truly a pitiful behaviour, because of having the opportunity to just ignore them and move on, isn't it?
I dislike VPvP too because of a certain person who attempted to enforce this idea of pvp in a fanatic manner a while back. Due to this bad experience I'll refuse to join it. However there is no reasoning why I shouldn't tolerate this way of pvp. I deign them having fun over there but in my personal view I don't feel like getting involved into this as a matter of principle.

I mean, I could of made a channel to advertise that you can only use weapons that fire spesific colours..... silly as it might be.. i should still be free to create a place for people liking those spesific colours.... Also, it shouldn't matter if im an expert in using those spesific colours or not....
PvE subforum's below.

You don't realize at all do you? That you are being condescending?
Also, first you say you don't care if i create threads, channels etc.. then you start again with the assumptions on why i created this thread and channel, I thought you didn't care?
