Hi Everyone,
I was wondering if you guys could take a look at this build on my Qin Raptor and help me with the last few things that will push it up around 10K dps. Right now it parses consistently about 7K and I've tried some different combinations to make it better but I can't quite get there.
One thing on the build - the Elachi cannons are Mk 13 and the disruptor consoles are Mk 13 as well. Our Spire doesn't have Locator access yet but I'll be getting those when I get the chance. The toon is a Liberated Borg Klingon Tactical captain.

Thanks for looking!

Probably I would use a Borg shield Mk XII too as full borg kit and for warpcore probably I would go for undine rep one

Imo it has a better boff set up, swapping the ensign tac for an eng.

You could go lots of ways with her but I prefer the beam-scort approach.
Stack her with beams and a torpedo fore. Beams aft, perhaps one torpedo aft depending on your play style.
TT-1, FAW-2, TS-3, APO-3
TT-1, FAW-2, APB-2
EPTS-1, RSP-1
EPTW-1
TSS-1, HE-2
Because Overloads don't drain power anymore you could use BO-2 x2 and HYT-3 as well for single targets. Sadly, the Mirrors are not available for upgrade to T5U, however the Fleet Somraw does match this setup.
I don't understand this build. 3 copies of FAW?! Huh?! Too much bloodwine?
I mean.. come on.. three Marions? Unless you forgot to add it somewhere, Marion is pretty much useless without DEM IIRC. And of course waaaaaaaay too expensive. The EC the OP would have to use on those three doffs alone should be enough for him to get a temporal destroyer.
Turn rate is fine for cannons imho. The different POV of that ship needs some getting used to, but one can work with that. OP probably knows this, otherwise he wouldn't have parsed 7k with his build.
@OP
I'd much rather keep the build as it is and switch to a Mirror Qin or Fleet Somraw. Maybe even add at least 2 pieces of the Counter Command Ordnance set (Turret and Torp maybe) for the extra disruptor damage.
Boffs would look something like this:
TT1, CSV1, APB2, APB3
TT1, CSV1, TS3
EptW1, EptS2
ET1,
ST1, HE2
Doffs:
3 x Damage Control Engineer (EptX CD Reduction) at least green quality
2 x Maintenance Engineer (Engineering team CD Reduc) at least blue quality
Having ET on near global CD allows for a decent hull heal, on that squishy little ship that can be used often.
Also getting keybinds with which you can cycle your abilities for near 100% uptime would be advisable. Otherwise you'll have to do stuff manually, which can be a big pita (especially with all the tactical abilities).
This rocks!
Overall, not bad for PvE... but I have not tested it yet in queue where you get swarmed by enemies all around you like Storming the Spire Elite. Though I would prefer to test my setup in the normal version first since in general that PvE queue is really meant for beam ships.
You might want to also look into the Mirror Somraw Raptor which has a science focus if you want to mix things up. I will likely switch to my boxed Mirror Somraw when I settle on a weapon layout with the Mirror Qin. The difference between the Mirror Somraw and Mirror Qin are:
- Lt Cmdr Tactical --> Lt Cmdr Science
- Ensign Engineer --> Ensign Tactical
- +1 science console / -1 engineer console
The Lt Cmdr Science station means your science Boff can use GW1 which is great for crowd control. I have PUGged many Borg eSTFs where no one has that ability except for me when I am flying my Hegh'ta Heavy BoP.
Personally, I do not bind my keys since I prefer to click on the abilities that I believe works best for each attack sequence. A pain, but I also have total control.
You're joking, right ? The pivot 'problem' is Qin's best asset and makes getting the DHC's on target easy-peasy. Fleet neuts -w- RCS and a Field Gen or 2. And mirror BOFF abailities ? So sad. I've taken bugships PvP in a Qin, that was before I had the mirror version or fleet gear. The Qin is a 'boom and zoom' ship, NOT a cruiser.
