refined dilithium

Is there any faster way to get refined dilithium other than the exchange? I have tons of unrefined ore and it's really annoying that I can't use it...

    Get more toons, spread out the farming.

    You can refine a more than 8k a day but requires that DOFF mission at the academies with a 24 hour turnaround I think. I haven't bothered with that slow process in a long time myself. Taking a day to refine just another 2k or whatever small amount it is now is kind of laughable TBH.

    Use multiple toons to earn your unrefined so each one can use their 8k limit per day. On one toon there are only limited ways to improve limits such as a few doff missions (vet refiner doff and Dil mine doff)
    Still waiting to be able to use forum titles

    I believe that your only options are the Exchange and refining your dil ores. I Don't know what else to tell you beside

    Multiple toons, a fleet with a tier 2 or 3 mine, there's a veteran contact to refine a little more as well.

    But multiple toons is the way to go.

    Go that route you're wise to get the account bank if you havent done so already.

    an account bank is no advantage when it comes to dilithium the only way you can transfer it between characters is by using the exchange, to do this put your dilithium up for sale at the lowest possible price I think that's 25 to 1 (don't worry no one will buy it at that price) and then imidiatly cancel the sale, you can then switch to another character and claim it, of course you will need to refine the dilithium before using the exchange, you cant transfer unrefined dilithium by any method im afraid.

    the only currency you can transfer to another character with the account bank is energy credits and lobi crystals.

    Turning Zen into Dil is another solution. Let's say 500 at 150-per-Zen rate, which equals 75K Refined Dil... directly into your toon's treasury, no conversion needed
    Was named Trek17.

    Been playing STO since Open Beta, and have never regarded anything as worse than 'meh', if only due to personal standards.

    you don't have to transfer zen though it is always available to every toon on your account but although it shows up on every toon you can only spend it once so if you mistakenly buy something with an alt toon you may not be able to access what you have purchased with your main toon.
    and I belive the OP wanted to know how to get dil without using the exchange so that rules out buying zen to buy dil.

    It runs for 48hrs and refines 1k. Along with the dilithium mine mission which is another 500 they bring the total refining total to 9k per day.

    And its deja vu all over again.
    Oh, it's not broken? We can soon fix that!
