Hi all :),

I thought i'd create a list of all canon starships that have been mentoned in some way on the TV series that have not yet appeared in game.
Do you think these ships should appear in game?
If so, what role should they be?

Challenger Class - TNG The best of both Worlds

Curry Class - A Time to Stand

Daedalus Class - Model in Sisko's ready room (only mentioned as it is a canon ship)

Freedom Class TNG The best of Both Worlds

New Orleans Class - TNG The best of Both Worlds

Niagra Class TNG The best of Both Worlds

Norway Class - Star Trek: First Contact

Scout Ship - Star Trek: Insurrection

Soyuz Class - TNG Cause and Effect

Springfield Class - TNG The best of Both Worlds

Sydney Class - Appeared in several shots of DS9 during Season 5

Yeager Class - Appeared in 24 episodes of DS9

ARGO Shuttle - Star Trek: Nemesis. (not saying get the ARGO, though would be nice, just the shuttle)

Enterprise E Shuttlecraft - Star Trek: Insurrection (Not the captain's yacht, that is already in game)

Janeway's Shuttle (SC-4) VOY Endgame

Type 6 Shuttle

Type 7 Shuttle

Type 9 Shuttle

The only ships of these (excluding the shuttles) that I'd like to see are the Norway, New Orleans and the Soyuz (as a possible variant for our starter ship). The rest, you can forget about.

Excluding the shuttles (again) the only ship you could argue as being in-game is the Norway Class (as the Oslo Variant), but it's still not the Norway.

What about the Klingons and Romulans? Are they completely covered for canon ships? The Feds are always the focus of the canon debate, but those two are always left out.

Unless you count the Romulan aquired D7s with the bird hull painting, yes, those factions are done with canon ships.

It's difficult to see what role they'd play in-game, although it would be nice to see them. Perhaps they could introduce the Curry as a Federation built carrier.

The Freedom might do for a starter ship, with the New Orleans available as the next tier up.

As someone already said, I think nearly all canon KDF and romulan ships are already in game.

I'll include my sources for information in this post

    Klingon Ships

    Romulan Ships

    Starfleet Ships A-K

    Starfleet Ships L-Z

    Starfleet Shuttles

A good number of those are kitbashes and Geko has indicated that he's not interested in those ships.

I would be a big fan of seeing the New Orleans class. I think in terms of its configuration and role (often called a frigate), it would be a hit with people who like Galaxy aesthetics and who want a Destroyer playstyle.

Eyeballing the Challenger, it looks like it would be a 14-15 turnrate ship with cannons. (No saucer sep but it should get most of the turnrate that saucer sep provides with that "no neck" profile. Probably a special ability that uses those three paint markers attached as kind of a three target "trident" phaser lance/pulse attack. (Maybe a combo of phaser lance and cannons scatter volley.)

Maybe to give it a bit more of a Galaxy feel, the thriple cannon lance attack could be a proton weapon and the cannon shots could resemble proton torpedos. (Or these could be built in proton cannons with a rapid mod like the Kumari). Call it a Proton Pulse Trident or something like that.

Ooh, but for Janeway's shuttle...stealth, transphasic torpedoes, Chrono-deflector, armour. That would be a tasty ride.

    • K'Vort
    • D5
    • D6 (The Korotinga looks nothing like the D6 from ENT)
    • ENT BoP
    • BoP from The Augments
    • TAS D7
    • Toran (The ingame one looks nothing like it)
    • Negh'Var (Three variants needed, also ingame too big).

    Also maybe the-
    Qang

And the ships at the bottom right here.

Norway and Yeager dammit... I still want my Typhoon and Jupiter though.
JJ Trek The Kelvin Timeline is just Trek and it's fully canon... get over it. But I still prefer TAR.

The Yeager class is hands down the ugliest canon ship in Star Trek. I hope they never ever put that kit-bashed monstrosity in the game in any capacity. The game has plenty of hideous non-canon ships to chose from already.

I'd like to see the Argo shuttle/dunebuggy in game just for the novelty of it. We can have a planet dedicated to motocross, and our replicators can whip up a 12 back of Corona.

Challenger Class - Eh, I'd like to see this only because we haven't seen ships with a two vertical engine configuration.

Curry Class - A refit version of this would make a really cool carrier.

Daedalus Class - Too old to be useful, which is a shame, because I really love the design. I think a 24th Century cruiser with a spherical hull (Not ugly oblong shapes like the Science ships) would be really nice.

Freedom Class - I love the Freedom Class so yes it would be great to see it in the game, or a variation thereof.

New Orleans Class - Great design, put it in.

Niagra Class - Too ugly, keep it out.

Norway Class - The Oslo class has a similar design, and frankly looks a lot better.

Soyuz Class - The Shi'Kar light cruiser looks simillar enough to this.

Springfield Class - Sure why not.

Sydney Class - It would be a little odd to have a transport ship in game, unless they added a civilian faction, which would be awesome.
