Does the proton particle stabilizer buff AP damage? And if not, what proton weapons are available?

Ive had a play around with the antiproton beam on my proton/protonic polaron Dyson ship, and from my experiments along with the in-depth information boxes, I'd go with an in-general "no". Proton and Antiproton are different energy types. The stabilizer does improve beam damage so you get boosts from that, and from the power boosts, but that's it.It's worth it if you're getting the gravimetric photon torpedo for the non-tac-console photon damage boost, and for a boost to the experimental weapon if you're getting that, but otherwise as a stand-alone it could be a console slot better served with something else, depending on your personal play circumstances of course.

Proton & Antiproton are two totally different damage types. There was a lot of confusion about this when S8 came out, but it's settled down now.

Why would you think proton would boost "anti" proton? It would be more logical to think that it would subtract damage.
