Watchmen Batleth Tournament
Information:
The Watchmen are hosting a PvP RP tournament and we would like to open it up to all members, allies, and friends of the Order to send any number of representatives to partake. The main point in this event is to provide a fun RP-centered activity for anyone and everyone to participate, have fun, and meet other RPers and other fleets. We will be hosting several tournaments, with a double elimination style fighting. The 1st and 2nd place winners will be rewarded prizes. There will be consolation prizes for all who make it past the preliminary rounds. You are responsible for gathering all gear you wish to use.
Rules:
Who can attend?
-Anyone at any level and any faction can enter into the Batleth tournament. Each player may enter any number of his toons exactly once in the tournament. Not PvP-centric? Dont worry, many of us arent, but we would love to have you participate anyway.
How do you win?
-The first person to defeat their opponent 3 times, wins.
Weapons
-While the title says Batleth competition, ANY melee weapon is allowed (Nausicann, Tsunke, Lipra, Batleth) Exotic melee weapons: Tholian Crysalline swords, Shard of Kahless, Selaya Ceremonial Lipra and Kristak batleths ARE allowed. Ferengi Energy Whip and Shattering Harmonics Sword are NOT allowed.
Traits/Kit powers
-All traits are allowed, however, Tier 5 Reputation active abilities are NOT allowed. No kit powers will be allowed (If the kit is part of an armor set, the owner may wear the kit, but may not use anything from it) Beam down Security Escort, Orbital Bombardment, and other such abilities are NOT allowed.
Devices:
-All devices are allowed except for the following: Breen Biothermal Dampener, Combat pets (Of any kind), nanocrystal cell: acoustic amplifier circuit, nanoenergy cell: Neural overload, Ophidian Cane, Portable Shroud Generator, Power Cell: Antiproton Carrier Wave, Psionic Resonance Enhancement Cell, Tachyon Grenade, Tholian Web Grenade, Any Drone Constructor Device.
Special Exceptions:
-A warrior facing an opponent 18 levels above, or higher will be allowed to use all traits and kit powers, as well as all devices.
Prizes:
- 1st place will win a Fleet Module, 2nd Prize will win 1 lock box key. All participants who make it past the first round will be given 50k ecs for participating. They will gain an extra 25k ecs for each round they go further.
Time(s): TBA (I'll update this thread depending on responses, It will probably take several weeks to get through to the semi-finals)
If you are interested in joining this PvP RP tournament. Please post below with the times and days that work best for you to enter.
Awesome, we're trying to tailor (At least for the first few rounds) to everyone's schedule. If you put down what times work best for you, we can work around that
General Ssharki of the House of Methos would be honored to participate. Qapla'!
(my schedule is flexible, but Fridays and Saturdays usually work best for me.)
P.S. you say all traits are allowed, does this include active traits such as Bite (Gorn) Rapture (Lethean) Mind Drain (Reman) Nerve Pinch (Vulcan) Neural Blast (Liberated Borg) etc.? Or would those fall under the "abilities" restriction?
...Oh, baby, you know, I've really got to leave you / Oh, I can hear it callin 'me / I said don't you hear it callin' me the way it used to do?...

Alright, sorry, been busy this past week, otherwise would have responded to you all sooner.
1st, we're going to try to meet between 4-5pm(EST) Saturday and Sunday this week and next.
I'm going to say meet on Nimbus, Either I or a member of my fleet will send zone message around 4:00 for an interested in the Watchmen PvP/RP tourn. Then we can get those interested queued up.
2nd, in terms of Gorn (Bite), Lethean (Rapture) and the like, I'm saying any Race Specific traits ar, so those would be legal.
3rd: Do to the fact that Lock Box traits do seem to give a pretty powerful advantage, I am going to say that they are NOT allowed.
... meet between 4-5pm(EST) Saturday and Sunday this week and next...
Drat... for those of us in Australia (and by that, I mean me), that's around 6am-7am, so I'll have to be a 'regrets' for this first go, but I hope it's a success and becomes a regular!

Perhaps also "no lockbox traits"/"only standard/free traits"? Some such as Immunity Response and Ironsides can put a player at a distinct advantage.
Can't get onto STO Wiki page at the moment so the stats are:
