If you mean the intel ships or the ships in the delta rising pack, no.
Yes, I'm that Askray@Batbayer in game. Yes, I still play. No, I don't care.

....For public consumption at least. I did see a cookie-powered FED Intel Escort in the Tau Dewa sector block.

The reason why I ask is that they gave us the ability to have some new intelligence boffs, but without the new ships I can't try out any of there intel space powers.......so why did they give access to the new boffs then?

Presumably because Cryptic may release the ships at a later date. If Cryptic holds true, they'll release them just before launch, with not enough time to actually give them an actual shake down run, then discover after launch that the players think they're broken, and then blame the fact that they weren't tested properly on tribble even though we weren't given them in time to actually test them.

You can still test their Ground abilities.

One thing to note about testing ships on tribble.

Cryptic traditionally does not give access to things that will be purchasable with zen on tribble for testing before they are released onto holodeck. The implications and reasoning behind this is obvious and I wont elaborate on it, but suffice it to say, they probably wont be seen for player testing.

Which is a shame, since DR is honestly all about T6 ships and the new ship leveling system and traits, which we won't be able to test out and use. WHich means why the hell do we even have Tribble anyway if not to test out ALL of the new features.

I've given them a pass on Lockbox ships and most Zen ships because generally the systems are tried and true. This system is fairly new, and they won't get a shake down at all.

Not entirely true. We're performing Focus Testing with a small group of players.

Wish you would open the ships up to those of us who bought the pack already. We are already commited and not test driving.

wouldn't it be better to have the ships open for all people to test...cause there might be bugs that pop up that tester's will miss.

besides...isn't the Tribble Test Server suppose to be...oh idk...a Test Server?

From the comments in these forums, it seems it's no one we usually see testing stuff.

I'm pretty sure they are required to sign a non-disclosure agreement with PWE/Cryptic, which would forbid them from talking publicly about items they are privy too

That makes... almost no sense. Lets have a perfectly good testing server, that we can if we want restrict it to say only subscribers, and yet then even make the test size even smaller, because we all know the smaller the test group the more accurate the results.

Again if this was say, a lockbox ship or something I'd be fine with it, or at leasts I understand your desire to keep it under wraps. But when the numbers and the advertising are already out, and we know we're getting them, limiting the test size to only a relative handful of people is begging for bugs to missed.

What secret are you trying to keep from us exactly that you don't want us to know? How hard would it to be to open up tribble, allow everyone to test out the new ships, then do a character wipe on tribble so if you dont buy the ship on live you don't have it on tribble?

There are so many other ways you can go about this and make Delta Rising your FIRST smooth and mostly balanced launch, and you seem to want to make it as buggy and unbalanced as possible.

if they aren't saying things like, the dauntless's tac LT should be made universal, or the vadwaur npcs are too hard, your not getting very good information.

Some players are far better at testing ships than us. Professional testers try to break the game and give good feedback about what they tested while we would just test drive the ship for a few missions and just give broad impressions about how the ship worked. There is a huge difference between testing a ship and test driving a ship.

I spotted a few in Tribble testing the T6 ships. I am pretty sure they weren't professional testers. The ones I recognized were from one of the podcasts...

Yeah because we've seen how well the so-called professional testers (which in this case probably aren't professional at all, and just a bunch of STO fanbois) have done with other lockbox and C-Store ships in the past.

I can see them being choosy about fed ships but when it comes to the KDF they need to have their most vocal critics testing them out being they complain about not enough KDF buy the ships lol.

Although if they make my idea of a ship in the future they have to let me test it though. A D7 retrofit of what the one from renegades facebook page has but (and for STO purposes lol) make it the KDF multi vector except different. when the ship breaks apart the npc portion of it cloaks and starts laying mine fields as in an orbital defense/ds9 wormhole style of the area it was disengaged at. Then the other part the player pilots is a bird of prey lol :D. However this will never happen so I highly doubt they would have me test something much less build it lol.
