Ship Customization Problems

For a while now I've had a recurring bug when using the ship tailor. At random times and on random characters I would be unable to change the color of my ship's pattern, it would always default to black or simply stay whatever color I previously had. Typically logging off for an hour or so would fix it, if not it would be gone in a day or so.
Well ever since season 9.5 this problem has affected all of my characters, and it won't go away. I can still change my ship's pattern, just not the color.

Also, a little side bug, after changing a ship's name once the "edit name" icon completely disappears.

Any ideas on the cause of this?

The tailor bug usually disappears if you hit the "random" button. It's inconvenient since you manually have to change all parts again but it works almost every time, till the next time at least.

As for the disappearing icon: sorry first time hearing of it. No clue.

I've noticed the edit name icon dissapears if it's your currently active ship. Try changing to your shuttlecraft and then naming your ship. If that doesn't work, go to one of the ship selection officers, make one of your other ships your active one, then try to change your ship name via the selection window.

Also, are you using the fleet starbase officer for your changes? I've noticed for a while now (actually pre 9.5) that any changes I made at the fleet starbase didn't take (Including changing the bridge), but if you go to DS9 or ESD and use that ship tailor, the changes stick.

Trying to change the colours of the various styles (Aries, Gemini etc) doesn't seem to have any effect either. The whole ship customisation seems broken.

I have the same issue here (glad it's not just me/shame it'll never be fixed knowing how things go here).

I tried pressing pretty much everything to get mine to work (random/windows/hull material/colours etc). Nothing updated at all. Will try the DS9 tailor (and shuttle/rename) as suggested and see how it goes.

Ive had this problem as well, what I do is I click the "template" button, and then it will work to change colors.

Another issue I'm having is I bought a Draguas support cruiser, but when I go to the customization window, the template shows as the Phalanx. When I go to change patters and save and exit, it tells me I cannot change the species of the character....and the changes don't save.

Sent in a bug report..we'll see how that goes.

Oh wait, i thought the patterns were always black... LOL.

I nEVER, repeat NEVER was able to change the color of my patterns, i supossed the patterns were always black, no matter what. The color that changes is the trails color, not the patterns one.
