Which mission, lobi, or lockbox weapon are you looking forward to upgrade?

Let's try to forget the fact that you either hate the grind or have a negative view of the upgrade system because of dil costs. Also ignore the fact there are bugs, every set, mission weapon, and a lot of consoles and infinite quality weapons will be upgradable.

Imagine you can instantly upgrade weapons, which one(s) would you upgrade and why?

For me:
1) Dominion polaron beams because they are the drain boat's best friend.
2) Polarized tetryon beams. With a 10% proc and upgraded (with luck) to Mk XIV [Acc][Ac/DM]. Awesome for knocking down shields quickly.

    AFAIK, you'll be able to upgrade those sets from mk XII as normal.

    If not, I'm going to be even more miffed with cryptic for encouraging buying the lobi upgrades two days before announcing we've just wasted our lobi.

    The weapon I was most looking forward to upgrading was the white mk X thermionic torpedo that comes with the recluse.

    Only it appears they'll be excluded from the upgrade system.

    Petty decision, Imo.

    I'm excited about many may things.

    I'm generally poor in fleet credits. So I am buying up XI to upgrade, especially neutroniums.

    I'm crafting field gens purple X

    My new 50 just got the Jem ground set. It's quite nice. Looking forward to turning the blue 11 weapon to purple 14.

    I've moved away from the breen cluster after a long courtship, but may give that another look.

    I also like the dominion polaron, but I'm not sure it will outdo the protonic polaron I use for one character. Might give it a try as well.

    Hm... Dominion Polaron might be fun.
    But right now I'm kinda leaning towards the Federation Type 2 Phaser just to dink around with. Maybe upgrade my Grav Photons and Phased Tetryon at some point.

    I'm personally looking forward to beefing up nanite disruptor space weapons as well as the repeater plasma weapons from New Romulus vendors all the way to gold MK XIV. May take several months but dammit it'll be worth!

    And, yes. It is upgrade-able.

    Especially good for Dominion centered players.

    As much as Cryptic World pulled a Neverwinter on us with the whole upgrading process... at least we can finally retrofit our favorite gear sets into something worth while... so, yes, it'll be a grind of all grinds but it's a grand opportunity for us all!... Still not going to stop me from complaining to high heaven. :cool:

    Next to Tetryon, Phased Biomatter is actually pretty good for economy builds apparently. I'm running a full set of dual heavy cannons and turrets on my Steamrunner, and might have to get another full set for my Fleet Patrol Escort.

    I have to see what it takes to upgrade the gear. Just like the crafting when it came out. I will have to play around and see how justified it is. I decided to try crafting and now I'm almost lv10 on 4 schools. So I see its paying off so far.

    If it works out well. I would like to increase my ship weapons to the next level for more DPS. Ground I have a few favorites I would like to increase as well. It just depends on how it can work for me.

    This is something I've been considering myself. Could be pretty decent.

    TOS Blue Phaser Beams. First time they can become endgame level and not just a pretty gimmick.

    It will be glorious.

    Also the hand held weapons. Type 1, 2 and 3! :)

    the breen transphasic cluster torpedo... and the rest of he set too. though the tears from a mk 14 gold of that baby should be quite nice. from cloak naturally. probably the only weapon I'm going to make sure gets to gold.

    one nice thing about this whether you like or not it more choices.

    and I got retrofit phasers for my ambassador just because of the new upgrade system. even if I'm going to ruin the classic look with a lot of borg stuff later, but thats late people raging about it should be fun.

    Piercing Tetryon. Comes in all the various weapon types, shield strip plus shield penetration chance. It always struck me as an interesting-in-concept weapon, but maxing out at Mk10 limited its usefulness. If I were going to use the new upgrade system to go nuts on something, I'd seriously consider tinkering with these.

    There's a serious downside to your idea. When you have even just 3 of those, the noise they make just destroy your ears... well my ears anyway. Try putting four of those on your favorite beam boat before you upgrade. You might find it intolerable.

    I have 6 on mine, I also play with sound off, I it doesn't effect me :P

    Dominion Polaron will be my first upgrade (still waiting for them to be unlocked on Tribble). I actually use them at the moment on my JHDC for canon, their great shield stripping and the unique and cool sound effect. A set of epic level Dominion beams would make me so happy.

    Also upgraded Tachyokinetic Converter to epic and it gives some great boosts. The epic temporal set would be great but I'm not sure enough to lure me from my penchant for the Dominion ships.

    all that i have on my 1. Cpt best ship that he is planning to use with the next Season or maybe my Eng Cpt because he flys a ship that can take more damage.

    2nd whould be Fleet Phasers
    1st Fleet Phaser or Fleet Antiproton Cannons or Beams dont know which ship this cpt might fly i have to many
    18 Cpt on the way to 60: 14 of them are already 50 or over 50, one is 60 and 3 almost 43

    Don't really know yet. Maybe Quad Phasers? But that's probably pointless, since you still can't use multiple...

    Efficient impuls engines perhaps? At epic MkXIV quality they might be great for underpowered Romulans. Can Roms get those engines/

    My old Task Force Omega ship weapons with the [Borg] modifier. They were always my go to weapons for endgame before they became unavailable.

    So just for laughs I want to take them beyond their original design, just because I can :P
