I know you can get invites and such to those fleets that are open to it, but how do you get the fleet credits?

I've been looking at the stats of federation ships and I'm really liking the fleet chimera. nearly the same stats as the avenger, an extra sci console slot, nearly the same shield mod, and a far better turn rate, and a far more flexible BOFF seating. sure, avenger is a cruiser and has the extra weapon slot, but dang if the fleet Chimera isn't attractive, stats wise.

the easiest way to get fleet credits is to join a fleet that needs help and contribute to their projects until you get enough fc to buy what you want. you can contribute marks, ec, exp, dilithium, etc.

you can only get a fleet chimera if you're a 1000 day vet and have the regular chimera.

Contribute to fleet projects and/or run missions that reward fleet marks and then contribute those to fleet projects.

I actually had some questions about this. I have never joined a fleet although I have been playing this game for years (on and off). At this point, my goal ship is the heavy cruiser retrofit (not the fleet one). Oddly enough, even though it isn't a fleet ship, it still requires being in a fleet to get one. It requires 200,000 FC, or one Starbase Military Fleet Provision. I have a few questions on this matter:

How would I go about getting the Fleet Provision? My first thought would be that it's like the normal provision, but I'm not sure. Would it be easier to get one of those, or to just farm FC.

My other question is, and this may sound stupid: If you acquire a ship from a fleet shipyard, and then leave the fleet, do you get to keep the ship?

I thank anyone in advance for taking the time to answer any of these questions.

PS: Sorry if I hijacked the thread. After years of being a registered member, this forum is still not letting me make threads. This one seemed the most relevant. Sorry if this causes any trouble.

The Fleet Ship provision is something the fleet owns not the player. Essentially they start a project, everyone contributes and they get some fleet provisions that are shared by the whole fleet.

It's 200,000 FC and a Fleet Ship Provision.

And if you leave the fleet you keep the ship.

If I ask you a question it is not an insult but a genuine attempt to understand why.
When I insult you I won't be discreet about it, I will be precise and to the point stupid.
