The Aeroshuttle

Ok, so hear me out on this one....

With Intrepid's exterior getting an overhaul, I was thinking over what else we could have from Voyager.

When looking at the new model, I noticed that the Aeroshuttle on the base of the saucer looks even better than before (not so much a flat texture as previously).

So, what if (maybe as part of a bundle with the bridge etc, similar to the DS9 bundle) we got the Aeroshuttle? It could have the same stats as the runabout (as that's basically all it is; a Danube with wings) and could come with some kind of special console: maybe something like a console that calls a Delta flyer to support you?

What are your thoughts, and how would you organise the stats?

This alone would make me buy an Intrepid Pack. Hands Down Aeroshuttle would be awesome.

I would like to see it as deployable.

From the glitched out Tailor on Tribble it does really look like it could be a deployable pet. Maybe the Intrepid gets a Hangar for Shuttles and Deltaflyer. Would make sense since we all know that the Voyager was basically breeding shuttles :P

Pretty sure I've seen a Screenshot of the Aeroshuttle being deployed

Which makes me think it might just be a pet of somekind

When I was on Tribble last night with my Tier 5 Intrepid class I noticed that on the saucer section, where the aeroshuttle should be, there was a cut out hole. I'm guessing they weren't supposed to make that the default model, but it definitely hints that it's going to be deployable from some version of the ship!

I've always been fascinated by the aeroshuttle, probably because we never got to see it used in the show (which seems silly really considering they ended up building a whole new shuttle when that was sitting there already totally unused haha).

I like to think Voyager was supposed to get the Aeroshuttle after the Badlands excursion so they spent the entire journey without it.
I was once DKnight1000, apparently I had taken my own name so now I'm DKnight0001.

Yeah I have actually seen that reasoning used in several Voyager novels. Still, I would have liked to have seen it.

Even though I almost never use shuttles, I would buy a playable Aeroshuttle. It looks like a cross between a Runabout and a SR-71. Sold.

Considering that the Aeroshuttle appears to be on Tacofangs' new Intrepid MSD, I'd say it's a fair bet we're getting one.

I found this post in the Tribble forum. The model is definitely in the game now! So now we just need some information about whether it's launchable/player controlled etc.

I like that it looks like a DS9 runabout modified for optimized atmospheric flight. :)

I love the Aeroshuttle from Voyager. It looks better than all other captains yacht and I would love to see it ingame.

But When they bring it I also want the Wave Rider from the future Nova Class.

It's pretty near to the Aerowing I think so I would love to see both of them. Sadly there are no really good Pictures from the Wave Rider deployed.

Except the fact that it is visible in the show, you can see the thrusters even so it isn't a "dustcover" like some ppl try to say.

I would like to see science ships having an auxilliary craft to deploy. The Nebula could possibly get the Calypso (the Galaxy would technically have that as well), the Rhode Island/Nova has one as well and Cryptic creations can be modified at will anyway.

The problem is that none of those ships is technically made or very capable of combat missions. That's why I would go with minimal armament but some science gimmicks that are useful, like hold or placate skills. Basically a "hunter's pet" to make a general MMO analogy.

This one is perfectly combat capable. I'd buy one.
