Wait for it....wait for it....wait for it...wait for it....GDF, AP:A, TF, FOMM, AP: O...target destroyed.
The only way to die is when you get alpha'd...it's getting a tad stale.
Team play is similar, but has a certain air of chaos about it. So I enjoy it as much as I enjoy pvp as a whole
Pug play is still fun, because kirks can be unpredictable.
Any others feel the same way? You may be the better pilot (more time on target then target on you) but your not getting that kill until you time that alpha...
The main way I kill people is when they alpha me oddly. Strange game design, but whatever. So much more attack power than resist power. Funny when people can't survive their own attack power. Thankfully reflective skills + semi Invincible skills exists in STO.
The dress is gold and white. Over 70% people says so. When viewed from a certain screen angle it appears blue and black. The dress displayed on amazon is a blue and black dress, but it's not the same dress in the picture. If you're seeing blue & black you're slightly colored blind. A normal upright screen = white and gold.
Damage needs to be higher because healing is out of control, then we need to add more heals because damage is crazy strong. Generally, either I can kill someone in a few seconds or not at all.
Personally, I think everything needs to be toned down a bit, heals and damage.

I'd say you need to open your eyes to other possibilities. Sci can't use any of the above except APO,yet between my fleet partner and I, we average well over 100 dead HOBOs / week not including many other non-HOBO Klinks. Many of them are active in the pvp forum. Take example of the recent Hobo team of Minihax, Terentus, T'Blap + 2 others that decimated a Panda premade in Arena - we get bored of being able to one shot these vapers in our sleep that it was shocking to see them owning the Pandas. There is a lot more to dmg than Tac buffs and Fbp. Our experience show we do just fine without them.

My biggest gripe is ****ers like you who whine about something as pathetic as this.....
Joe Random can do that...and you live.
Joe Random can do that...and you die.
With nothing that either Joe Random did, you did, or anybody did being any different between the two...yet having different results.
You've got various procs, defensive/offensive, you've got Criticals which are just a proc, you've got the damage variance...and with nobody doing anything different, you might end up looking at a Respawn or you might not end up looking at a Respawn.
That's my biggest gripe.
The number of times I should have been obliterated and been able to enjoy the awesome explosion of my ship...that I was robbed of that pleasure because of RNG...that's my biggest gripe.

Doing same thing and expecting different results is not insane at all in STO, amirite?
Jokes aside, RNG can and it is surpassed by perfecting your attack timing skills.
RNG, however, almost completely stops people that expect to win by simple numbers(meaning: better ship, better gear, better doffs, faster cooldown, spam, etc)
attack someone at right moment with right weapon/skill and you will win.
attack someone by spam with random weapons/skills and you are relying on chance/RNG.
simple as that.
RNG just stops spammers in being any more then average, nothing more.

But it's not. No doubt overall skill comes into play, but it doesn't change the RNG. How folks play with the RNG that's there determines the difference - how they react to it - that they react to it...that they plan for it. That doesn't remove it though.

Which is where the skill comes into play - but it doesn't remove the RNG from the equation, it's just a case that when that attack run that may have killed that guy 9 out of the last 9 times leaves them with 1-5% hull instead...the skilled player can still work with that while the guy that didn't respect the RNG or think about it is going to be lost...

While the spray 'n pray crowd can certainly hope for some RNG love coming their way and something happening that might not otherwise, again - the RNG is always there. It's not about relying on RNG to get something done - it's about being able to continue on despite the RNG, having the respect for it - knowing the part it plays - and how to play around it.
But being able to play around it is not removing it. That difference of a few percentage of hull can be the 1-2s at the end of a firing cycle that is all that is needed for the target's friendlies to act as well.
Which gets into the team's ability to handle what RNG throws their way...and the better teams play with it better than the worse teams...but it is still there.
And Hell, they're adding the Placarons...wheee.../facepalm. Sure, there's a 97.5% that turret they happen to fire at you doesn't placate you - require the cleanse or throw off the timing...but there's still the 2.5% chance that it does.
And I'm just not a fan of the RNG that's out there - that's been put out there cause the devs believe the extremely casual players get happy in their pants when some random thing happens...so they'll go googoogaagaa over it like a baby. The whole thing...just not a fan of it.
edit: Wait, when the Hell did I go over 13k posts? /facepalm It's the damn Finishing TRIBBLE on DOFFing and R&D...that's 20+ minutes of each play session lost to that TRIBBLE.

32nd saw this twice and won both matches the other night. Not exactly what you expect to see in team arena, but after the first volley brings the cat out of the bag, a properly equipped team should be able to adapt.

That would be the second gripe...fbp buzzkill...

Nah, my gripe is the RNG on what you describe.
