Mining Claims out of control now... Pls Give Us A Npc To Turn them in to for 2.5k dil

starlazersstarlazers Member Posts: 0 Arc User
So I do ALOT of keys like well over 15000 keys since lock boxes came to life... and I have in excess of 25million dill worth of mining claim boxes ( unopen ) and a good 500 active open claims across all my toons...

Fact of the matter is... YOU HAVE HAD MY MONEY CRYPTIC in terms of keys... now I think its only fair I get my reward and not need to wait 25 years to cash in on all my mining claims, it is a silly reward in its current form and something needs to be done about this epic build up I, and many others are sitting on and will be sitting on till long after the game is dead and gone/replaced.

A simple NPC that we can turn in 1 claim for 2.5k dill per claim would be perfect, still making it worth going and minning them as u get 5k but for guys like me that have a epic build up it will mean we can get some form of reward from these.

PLEASE FFS DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS CRYPTIC.

thank you for your time.

Nova.

Heh..., you'll be lucky if They give you 20 dilithium for them.

There's no way in hell Cryptic is going to give out 2500 dilithium for each claim.

They might just as well make it exchangeable for EC's, for the amount of 'cold-hard-cash' They would be giving away otherwise.

I really do not think so. He either got 150 claims and is too lazy to mine them out, or hes a foundry dil farmer.

Why on earth did you let them get so backed up?

And given that you have, why should a developer spend time on this as opposed to, say, hunting down and killing an actual bug?

If you open a ton of boxes, they back up faster than you can use them.

The developer who would implement such a thing is not on the qa team, and thus would not be fixing bugs.

Better idea. Go to the dilithium mines and use them.

At one/day he cannot use them all.

Or they could just make them not bound so they could be sold on the exchange. There is no way in hell I am flying way the hell out to some mine, putting on an EV suit, just to go do some mining mini game for a couple thousand dil. Have neither the time of day or interest for that, but I would happily sell the claims to someone who does, and they would happily buy them.

If I had a fraction of the mining claims you have, I wouldn't be complaining that I can't turn them in fast enough. I would be complaining that there isn't enough things in the game to SPEND ALL THAT CURRENCY ON.

That's the whole point here ! I can not gain access to all that dill for years and years... its just sitting in my bank useless when I have PAID for me Keys and can not gain access to my rewards for many years... its BS and I feel cheated.... sitting on over 20mill dill that I will never get to.

there needs to be an npc even if it was 1k dill to turn it in to an NPC I would be happy to take it but to have nothing when u have that amount is bull imo...

So let me see if I have this right... Someone claims to have spent roughly $15,000.00 on the game over the last 3 years but is worried about the pittance of Dilithium in comparison he is missing out on because he chose to use a single character to open all the Lockboxes rather then many? Seriously?
STO is about my Liberated Borg Federation Captain with his Breen 1st Officer, Jem'Hadar Tactical Officer, Liberated Borg Engineering Officer, Android Ops Officer, Photonic Science Officer, Gorn Science Officer, and Reman Medical Officer jumping into their Jem'Hadar Carrier and flying off to do missions for the new Romulan Empire. But for some players allowing a T5 Connie to be used breaks the canon in the game.

    1) I said they are all spread across my account

    2) I did not spend a single pennie of real life cash to use 95% of them keys... all recycled ec from deals or ship pulls

    3) mining claims are out of control for players like my self and there SHOULD be and NPC to turn them in too for x amount of dill... like I said 1-2.5k per claim would do it.

The case I am making here is about the fact that the keys was used and they had there money but I can't gain access to my reward for 20 years or more.... how much clearer must I be on this !!!

IF you had 20-25Million units of dill in un open mining claim boxes and months worth of active and open claims on all your toons you would look at it the same way...

    something needs to be done...

there's nothing that's going to be done. you opened all those boxes knowing full well you could never use all those claims. it was all your choice. why demand cryptic pay for your stupidity?

Tbh matey... your comment just makes my point for me, in terms of how silly claims are as a lock box reward, as a whole in its current form in the long term....

Take away the 20h timer on mining them or give us an npc... its the fair and right thing to do.

Oh and I demand it because I have open 15000+ keys for Cryptic and cant ever hope to access a large section of my reward... so what is the f**king point . . .

you opened 15000 keys but you said you only paid for 5% of them, so around 75 bucks. there are people who've spent far more money on cstore ships.

It'd be nice if they were account rather than character bound... that at least would allow people like the OP to use more of them (1/day per alt?)

It really wouldn't change a lot dil-wise, since you still would heave to deal with the refining limit.
the op's already said he has them on multiple characters, so he can use more then 1 a day.

this really is NOT about what % I have paid for... its about the claims as a reward for what is meant to be a $1.25 (key) and the fact that I CAN NOT ACCESS THE REWARD TILL IM AN OLD MAN.... please keep it on topic... ty

no, what this is about is you knowing you couldn't use them but kept on opening boxes anyway. it's like you being alergic to milk but buy a gallon of milk every day and then expect the store to deal with your stupidity.

you know how they worked when you got your first one. you continued to get more. that was your choice. cryptic doesn't have to bail you out because of your choices.

Your argument is exactly why these should not be bound and should be able to be sold. They are a reason not to open lockboxes, because your going to keep getting flooded with these mining claims you don't want. If cryptic were smart they would make them unbound and encourage people to keep opening boxes because they could then get EC back by selling them to those who want to mine.
