Looking for a fleet...

Hi all!
I've been looking through so many fleets and just can't make up my mind.
I'm looking for a decent fleet where the community members are close, and the members are active. Size doesn't matter, though I do appreciate higher tiered fleets.
What can I tell about myself... I've played STO for over 3 years now, but have been a trekkie since my childhood. If age matters, I'm just over 18+. I'm a bit on the quiet/shy side (until I know people better), but like doing group activities, STF's/PVE's/PVP's. I'm new to roleplaying, but open to it. My main toon is a Starfleet Sci captain, with dps, tank and science oriented builds.
I've seen the various good and bad sides of fleets and the people part of it... I've also created a fleet with a few close friends, who sadly stopped playing. I know how fun it can be to have a close group. Just installed teamspeak for first time (instead of say skype) so I've got that going, which is nice.
I'm an active player, contribute plenty to projects, and respect the rules if there are any.

Fleet life can be filled with Drama, boredom, or can be a fun and joyful experience.
Best thing to do is exactly what you said, take your time, look them over, and find one that suits what YOU want, not what they want you to be.

we are a sociable and supportive fleet, we are a new fleet but growing fast. the advantage of a smaller fleet is that the members are more closely knit, and the fleet leaders try harder to keep everyone happy.
we have a score and reward system, the more you contribute the bigger the reward, we are also pooling togeter for a lobi ship for a final prize.
we have only one rule, be polite. other than that, you can do what you want
we have an open bank to all, and our fleet members have proven to be very generous.
we are not a spam fleet so our members are quality not quantity, although i am making regular appearances in forums
we even have an old right wing Texan solder that likes to tell his tales (he is funny)
there is also a fleet lottery system on its way and soon we will have a monthly draw,
the winner will be able to either be able to
rename the fleet leaders rank (could be funny) - make our Facebook page photo. Design thair ranks uniform. and a few other things including designing the fleet leader uniform, we would be forced to wear it for a week.
we will soon have a website and we are developing a youtube channel.
