Klingon Distortion Torpedo?

I have been seeing people use those things for about two months, or so now.

The STO wiki has nothing on these items.

Where can information about them be had?

Do you mean the Temporal Disruption Device from http://sto.gamepedia.com/Temporal_Warfare_Set found in the lobistore?

Thanks for the reply, but I wrote Distortion, not Disruption.

I have only seen Klingons ships using it. It is red in color.

Ah my bad.. miss read it.
I really cant think of any special torpedo KDF gets in its ships tho (I have all of them) besides the Bio Neural one (shoots red Antiproton turret fire before exploding).

Can you tell what kind of effect it does post impact if theres any?

Is this not the console that fires a torpedo and blows up into a black cloud disabling weapons etc? Not enough time to check right now, but wasnt it a uni console from elachi box?

The one that sometimes generates short-lived anomalies? It's a photorp from the Dyson rep.

Are you certain it was Klingon?
The romulans have this since 9.5 Disrupting_Photon_Torpedo_Launcher

    Other options are:
    http://sto.gamepedia.com/Thermionic_Torpedo_Launcher

and the Elachi Subspace Torpedo Launcher Link
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

You're thinking Subspace Integration Circuit. It's a nice but too-short-lived console. It clouds perception so it can make a heavy boss (like a tac cube, or the CCE) fire less on you. Then when it collapses it does damage as well.

I have one for one of my KDF. I wish I'd grabbed a couple more for various other toons I have. I don't always use it, but it's one of those ones where it's nice to have when you can run it.

And does it leave a green cloud behind?

If so then the Particle Emission Plasma Torpedo from the crafting system may be what you are looking for.

There's a projectile in the game that looks like a Red version of a high yield plasma torpedo. I only see it once in a blue moon but I suspect this is what the OP is referring to. Unfortunately I don't know it's name but I think it's a C-Store ability.

Hmm.. big red torpedo? Are you referring to the Destabilized Plasma Torpedo the T'varo Retrofit gets?

The only other things I can think of is the Mogh's Dynamic Defense Deployment System(that seems unlikely from what you're describing) or the Bio-neural warhead(which is a missile, not a torpedo - doesn't glow red).

    Edit:
Outside of the C-store, it might just be the the Temporal or Elachi Torp being modified by High Yield or the Nadeon Detonator. The latter usually adds "Shockwave" as a prefix to the name, while the Former can alter the names of torpedos more noticably.

http://sto.gamepedia.com/Hargh%27peng Tis is the Hargh'Peng torpedo. or you could possibly mean the Gravimetric Photon Torpedo http://sto.gamepedia.com/Gravimetric_Photon_Torpedo_Launcher#Gravimetric_Photon_Torpedo_Launcher
    The Wildcards Fleet =/\=
Admiral T'Vanto of the I.R.W. Dreaded Balerion (Scimitar Dreadnought Warbird) "Burn them All!"
Admiral Atraxis of the U.S.S. Daskalogiannis (Avenger class Cruiser) "I am Iron Cat!"

Yes I am certain. I have the Disruption torpedo already. That is a Romulan GREEN torpedo, not red.

When you launch a heavy torpedo you can always see its name above it "Heavy Distortion Device," and RED in color as it goes torwards its target.

It's the Dyson gravimetric torpedo. It's the only red heavy torpedo Klingons could possibly get (photons are red, but outside of the gravimetric one, they don't spawn destructible heavies with High Yield).

Infinite possibilities have implications that could not be completely understood if you turned this entire universe into a giant supercomputer.p3OEBPD6HU3QI.jpg

The high yield gravimetric displays a different name.

After encountering a few emission tracking torpedoes in kerrat and CEE i got curious and grabbed the Console_-_Universal_-_Ionized_Gas_Sensor.

Combined with the tholian Thermionic_Torpedo_Launcher is probably, 95% certainty, what you witnessed.

Unless someone throws me a 100M to grab one of the Tholian ships from the exchange i cannot test it though.

Yep, this is almost certainly the gravimetric photon from the Dyson rep system. I use this on multiple toons and the Torpedo: High Yield bridge officer ability makes it a big red destructible torpedo. This is labelled as a Heavy Disruption Device IIRC (not in game right now so can't check) :)

As i mentioned in the previous post, it is NOT the gravimetric torpedo because it is named differently when fired high yield.

I have also mentioned the most likely combination for the red torpedo with distortion device.

I don't even see abilities being sold in the C-store.

Maybe a device which comes with a ship?

Yes that's what I meant when I said "ability" and "C-Store" since the T'Varo Retrofit is a C-Store ship.

Tac Captain trains his Tac BOF to fire Level 3 High Yield Torpedo.

    These two below:

    Gravimetric Photon Torpedo Launcher
    Enhanced Bio-Molecular Photon Torpedo Launcher

When High Yield Level 3 is used forget about it.. The first one creates opens up a shear on the target it's aimed at. If you launch that one and the Enhanced Bio one along with it watch out! Really need a lot of Power Transfer Rate really need to be up there percent wise to be effective.

I really need to do a video showing what I mean..

Oh yes and the 3rd one would be Omega Plasma Torpedo Launcher with heavy Bolt again Level 3 High Yield setting. If your Sci Captain your Tac BOF trained for Level 2 High Yield.

Personal favorite is the Hargh'peng Torpedo Launcher I use to have 3 of these on ship but really can't have to many though then odd things happen on the ship. Very good torpedo, but it can miss it's target though at times.
