New T6 rom ships, propositions

i like romulans, but their ships are outdated and ugly compared to fed ones.
here are the ships id like to see as t6 rom warbirds:

It's a succesor to d'deridex and its cool looking with that sleek design that would enable it to go quantum slipstream. big and beautiful ship and it still looks badass and romulan.

Cool looking, sleek and elegant ship with a sci look. It's shape makes it quantum slipstream possible.

*D'Shara class attack warbird--(personal favorite) https://www.google.me/search?hl=sr-M...89.0.46462.0.0.

Would pay to fly that ship...

it is, like Kerchan, a very big ship and it is more like an attack carrier, or it could be a zen ship.

    My vote is for a T6 T'Varo.

    Legal issues make it too difficult for them to use fan ship designs, so don't get your hopes up too high.

    I think you links are broken. They only lead me to the front page of Google in a different language. The first link leads me to a list of Islamic links.

    Yep, this happens to me too - I've googled the names through and there's some good looking ships there, maybe one day they will be in the game :)

    From someone who has steadfastly stuck to 'Romulan" ships up intil now, I have become ... disillusioned ... since scoring a Tal Shiar Adapted Battecruiser, when I opened an old Lock box ...

    I immediately fell in love with the strength and versatility and it's a brilliant ship for a Sci captain, who still wants to kick a little butt ...

    I got a Bio-Cruiser for a Tac Alt ... And that's also brilliant! It moves and it can tank! ...

    I've recently acquired the new Xindi Carrier for an Engi and th'ats been a revelation as well!

    We do NOT need yet another half baked "ref-retro-anti-mirror-fit" of an old ship ... We need some new ones, or at least the MISSING ones ...

    We are supposed to get another new class of ship altogether.

    But considering the Warbird nature of the Romulan Fleet it will be Tac Orientated.

    I for one would love a Carrier or other Sci Vessel. Not that I don't enjoy the SciScorts, but I'd love something that looks Romulan, Battle Cloaks and can perform as Sci vessel.

    Those Science Destroyers looked awful IMO.

    The T'varo is great, but we've already got a retrofit of that (albeit T5.5).

    Of course there will be a typical "warbird" (nee escort/destroyer) type, but let's have a proper cruiser as well, and maybe a science vessel or carrier.

    (I would ask for both of the latter, but given how much fewer ships the RR has than other factions, I think even asking for three is pushing it. They said "7-10" but somehow I think it's too optimistic to assume three for each faction. The Rommies usually don't get that kinda love.)

    I've always been a great fan of this interpretation for a real Romulan Scimitar and I think that that's the ship I would really going to buy for my roleplay style in the game.

    Another great design I've always been fond of is the Shadow class, a must in the game where it's taken from and a potentially great science secret vessel, a lot more than the Borg line...

    In general, I think that all the Romulan Designs seen in both Armada would be great, if implemented... expecially the starbases, that I'm continue to think will be the choice when we Romulans finally gain our fleets.

    I think they've made it pretty clear that it's hard, if not impossible, for them to use third-party designs due to licensing issues and potential legal hurdles.

    Those are very striking designs that you've posted (repeatedly, from what I've seen), but I don't think it's practical to expect them to be able to use them. They belong to other companies/people.

    You've made your point, but there are so many other sources to provide inspirational sources that it's almost impossible not to... let's use the word "repeat" in the most innocent sense possibile, given the standard element that you simply have to apply to a ship, for making it Romulan.

    So I could simply update my propositions, given also the new design for DR that I've just seen (and that is really similar to the Raptor Class in Armada, as the other topic rightly states), simply writing that it will be great even to take this established designs as sources of ispiration for the concept artists!

    All in all, we Romulans just want our warbird to be a ship that could stand beside a D'Deridex continuing to make a good impression.

    I would also vote vor a battlecruiser, perhaps a strengthen modification of the classical Star-Empire D'Deridex Warbird (ok, it may be important for my choice that I like this design and do NOT like the Scimitar and relatives because I did not like the film in which a ship of this type first war shown :D). A still fast ship which could change direction quickly, but also can take some damage and give enemies some brutal hits when de-cloaking.

    I'm really liking the look of the warbird that was revealed at STLV. I hope it has a tac primary with sci leaning, just like I hope the raptor has a tac primary with eng secondary. :D

    Do the Temporal Ambassador mission and get the Tamarag. It's a K'T'inga refit and looks just as badass as a D7. More, in fact, because it is sleeker while still mainataining that stance that says "Make a move and I'm gonna kick your TRIBBLE from this side of the galaxy to the other and back again." :D

    I was using that before I made the mistake of choosing a DD as my T4 "upgrade". :(

    I'll say it a gain, and keep saying it ... The ships are already in game! Cryptic just needs to actually make a few small changes and DONE! ...

    The D'rid as a D'ridthau Carrier Retoifit with 2 Hangar Bays! They could pretty much leave everything else exactly the same as the original ship, or perhaps give it a slightly better shield modifier? Take out one rear weapon slot? Add a Lt Cmdr Sci BoFF Slot? Done!

    The Arky as an Ar'Kala Battlecruiser Retrofit This ship is almost perfect already! Why for the love of Spock did the refit have to be an Assault Carrier?!?! Again you could leave it almost as is, except give it 4 x 4 Weapons and 35K~39K Hull and probably drop the Inertia rating down to ~40 and speed down to ~13. Done!

    The Sci Moggy has, sort of, already been done but why not a Valdore Science Vessel Retrofit And once again, you could essentially leave the ship as is (The Mirror one that is) But obviously with the Valdore name and skin. All it would need would be to have 4 Sci consoles, instead of 4 Tac, and Bump the Shield Modifier up slightly, plus give it Sci Ship abilities, and done! ... Actually the T3 Valdore Heavy Warbird (C-Store one), has an almost perfect Sci Ship BoFF and Console layout already All you really need to do is bump each one up by one rank

    Why we need "new" ships is beyond me, when with just a tiny amount of effort, Cryptic could fill numerous holes in the Romulan Fleet with ships ALREADY IN GAME!

    They didn't "need" to pair many of the ships up The D'D and Drid didn't need to be paired, the Moggy and Valdore didn't need to be paired, and the Arky and Arktif didn't need to be paired ...

    I want a t6 carrier d'deridex with 2 hangar bays with kestrel shuttle frigates, 1 less rear weapon, 8 turn-rate, and one extra sci console. Alternatively, bump up the turn-rate to six but make it a flight deck cruiser instead.

    All I got to say about T6 Rom ships is how the Aelahl isn't hollow like the D'deridex, is there a reason for that?

    We could use this topic also for comment on the new ufficial designs, now that they're out?

    I'm expecially curious about the reaction to the Faeht, that indeed resembles an optimal synthesis of the Scimitar perfectly menacing wingspan plus an adequate bird head in the middle, all of course of the right green glow.
    If they had just cleared the wing positions options a bit...

    The Aelahl is just too similar to the D'D to stand out, at least for the drawing concept we have... and its console power isn't just the same?

    Never ever ever pay a license fee for art work. As an attorney I can tell you you can imitate all you want as long as you don't copy exactly.

    Battletech decided to pay a fee for the Warhammer, Timberwolf etc. Then they found out the guys selling them the license didn't really have it. Suddenly they cannot use the design at all.
