The Holodeck item upgrade slip up and possible forgotten items

So we've enjoyed a good week in Holodeck testing out what I assume is the upgraded Mk XIV equipment with the hiked up stats to the Mk XII and Mk XI stuff. I bring this up because I've noticed some things that didn't get the boost, and it would be unfortunate if they're left behind in this whole upgrade process, specially since it's so hard to get stuff fixed after the expansion 2 code is released to Holodeck.

1) Jem'Hadar MK XII set (and possibly mk XI)
2) Breen Absolute Zero Set (which BTW needs a boost, specially the 3 part bonus which is very weak since it's Energy Siphon 1 with a horrible cooldown which sucks)
3) Dominion Polaron weapons (and possibly other special unique weapons form missions)

Please make sure these are somehow upgradable. I love using the Jem'Hadar set for the anti-proton sweep and Dominion Polaron weapons with worthwhile mods (A mk XIV or MK XIII VR with [Acc] modifier) would definitely be appreciated.

    Heh, I use ALL that gear, even the lockbox Dominion Polaron. I approve of upgrading ALL this gear.

    I hope the devs see this one. I'm going to be upset specially for the Jem'Hadar Mk XII gear which cost me 200 lobi to acquire.

    I would also like to mention the Romulan specialty ground weapons that used to be in the dilithium store. Will there be a way to upgrade these weapons to Mk XIII or Mk XIV?

    I'd love to be able to buy/craft the unique rommie weapons somehow.

    This is the unfortunate result of locking Tribble to gold accounts, the info flows in from devs later than from players and questions arise. I just saw some screenshots of the R&D based item upgrade assignment.

    Can someone in Tribble or a dev please confirm mission hybrid weapons and sets, including lobi upgraded sets like the Jem'Hadar ground and space sets, will be upgradable in Expansion 2?

    The upgrade kits can be crafted on Tribble, but the item upgrade menu itself cannot be accessed. From what can be seen, it appears ALL items can be upgraded given the proper amount of Research Points from Upgrade Kits.

    What is available to see is:

    Each Crafting School has the ability to craft "Upgrades Kits" in 4 ranks of quality.
    ((to upgrade a beam weapon for instnace, the kit must be crafted in the Beams R and D School))
    The higher quality kits require higher rank of crafting skill.
    Upgrading an item will require the kits plus dilithium (amount unknown.)
    Upgrade Kits themselves are tradeable, so if you don't have sufficient levels in the crafting school needed to upgrade the item, you can trade another player that does in order to obtain the proper kit.
    The actual Upgrade Item Menu APPEARS to be something everyone can access. (not 100% confirmed)
    It is unclear at this time whether multiple low grade kits can be used to upgrade higher tier items or if they will require higher tier kits straight out.
    The actual resource cost of the kits is negligible at the moment. A couple materials and a token sum of ECs.

    What I expect to see when the Expansion rolls out is the kits on the exchange for whatever people are willing to pay for them since so many people are shunning the crafting system. Bearing in mind that crafting the kits uses an R and D slot and is time gated like all other components, so don't be surprised if the price is rather high.

    As you say it all depends if larger kits are required or if smaller kits can be used. The smaller kits do not even need crafting and can be bought for a set 10k ec.

    Upgrading will be tied to the crafting system.
    Let us wear Swimsuits on Foundry maps or bridges please! I would pay zen for that.

    Actually though you can craft the upgrade kits I think this system will be similar to the Neverwinter Artifact system and not directly linked to the crafting system. Unless having a higher rank of the specific crafting type will increase the chance of a successful upgrade or reduce the reagents needed.

    I hope they make the equipment upgrades like the T5-U ship upgrades as in, you do an upgrade on beam arrays and all characters can upgrade to that mark free of charge.

    If I have to upgrade every single piece of equipment on every single character separately, being forced to use the crafting system, I'm gonna go ballistic. From what I'm seeing on Tribble that seems to be the case, but I know nothing is in the final stages and there is still time for Cryptic to make final decisions. I'll wait and see what they plan since at this point they haven't announced much, if anything, about how upgrading our equipment to higher marks will work.

    Well that's jsut it; I have a feeling even though we will hit Level 60, we will only be able to get mk XIII Paratrinic shields.

    That said, I would be seriously DOWN with an upgrade system that lets us add modifiers - even random ones - to items such as that.

    In honesty, ALL items should have a chance to be upgraded in some way, even random legacy items.

    Curious about Jem'Hadar sets, myself... bought both space AND ground with Lobi. Free upgrades for these would be NICE (although not expected).

    If this upgrade system allows for ALL items to be upgraded, then that would be tolerable... a couple of experimental kits, and you could theoretically get Mk XIV UR sets. :D

    A VR or UR Bajoran rifle would also be nice... :D

    I feel like at the very least, the various sets should be setup to trigger new hull visuals similar to how ground sets trigger new costume visuals. Particularly if the stats aren't upgraded.
