Crystal Shards...save or use?

Which do you think is better?

Use the extra shards on the secondary project or save for next event?

    I'd use them, extra marks and dilithium is always nice, since the bonus mark weekend is going on.

    I'm planning on waiting for the next dilithium weekend to finish the project. :D

    personally I would not bother saving them, I managed to slip in an extra project last time on my rom from the previous mission before that he missed cos roms weren't playable then and used all my extras on that, only missed filling it by two shards, its been getting close to a year before they ran it this time.
    besides which you will only face the same dilemma next time around but even more so with the extras from this time and next together.
    its not like other events like this where the extras have no value of their own so kinda worth saving them to make it quicker and easier next time.

    drawback of that is you might not be able to slot the mission to claim for the extra shards so could end up missing out there.

    use them while you've got them and claim those marks and dilithium rewards

    We might not get crystalline catastrophe back. We don't know what's happening with current queues...if they'll be outdated and forgotten with diminish rewards or if they're marks are even relevant
