As the title suggests, Rep Gear .... I have a Fleet Dhelan Warbird retrofit. I currently have Advanced Fleet weapons on the front so no bother there and am looking to sort ot the tactical consoles from fleet fairly soon. However, i have a dilemma..... Which fracking reputation gear to go for. I have taken advice from some who say the borg rep set, and others the undine command deflector, Universal Hydrodynamics Consol etc... would be better. Its sooooooo flipping confusing :-P.Anyways ideas on a postcard to ......
Tac: Tactical Vulnerability Locator with + in your choice of energy type.
Eng: Neutronium + your choice of Turn, HullHP etc,...
Sci: Your choice.
I don't find Sci consoles very helpful on my particular kind of ship and play style.
Now, for Rep Space sets,... depends on affiliation. For Fed, Adapted MACO 2 piece with 3rd piece from MACO. For Klingon, Klingon Honor Guard 2 piece with Adapted Honor Guard 3rd piece. You want the 2 piece for the 25% torpedo damage bonus. If you don't run Plasmonic Leech, then which rep shield you use is not as important. Plas Leech has a conflict with the Resilient shield from both sets.
Or, if you need more defence, get the Aegis set. You will need to either craft it or buy from the exchange and it can be a bit pricy.
Some people are having good success with the counter command sets too, but I haven't tried them.

2 piece borg + elite fleet shields for a slower more healing oriented build, 2 piece counter command + elite fleet shield for a faster more offensive / defensive build.
the borg set gives great hull regen but the engine is SLOW, and Escorts / Warbirds are meant to go fast.
The counter command set gives you everything an escort could want. bonus weapon damage, bonus accuracy, bonus defense, and the engines are fast, VERY FAST.
As far as the consoles are concerned, get them all. The borg console is a staple on most any endgame build. The CC hydrodynamics console is quite nice when paired with the phaser/ disruptor heavy turret, but that of course means you need to be running phaser or disruptor weapons.
[Combat (Self)] Your Crystalline Refraction - Phaser deals 398195 (682959) Phaser Damage to Evul Klingon.

I think the Counter Command is the way to go with the Fleet Tactical Locator (as im running Disruptor) console & CC hydrodynamics console.
I have read that if ships are running with more than 3 of the same consoles the fourth being of no use, is that correct?
I hate to be that guy but I would wait to see what Delta Rising brings as there could be a new set of rep gear or changes to rep gear.
Your pain runs deep.

THe CC hydrodynamics console is good for Every ship . I would equip every universal console you can get (Nukara Particle Converter, Assmimilated module, Hydrodyn. Compensator, Proton Particle Stabillizer, Zero point module those are all i think).
THe Hydrodyn Compensator gives a boost in turnrate so that makes your ships fast and agile so that you could use Neutronium cosoles+HullHP in the remaining en. console slots for more survuvability.
I would use the CC Deflector, Fleet or CC impulse, Fleet shields (Get ResA andB so you can switch them) and probably the Obelisk core and Obelisk Omni Directional AP array if you use AP weapons. AP weapons are still the best i think.
If you run Phasers or Disruptors you should use the CC Deflector, the Hydrodyn Compensator and the Heavy Turret as well as the Multi Energy Relay from the "Surface Tension" mission and the CC Warp core
Of course if you use Phasers you have a wider selection of weapons, Elite, Advanced, Biomatter or Bio-Molecular so a Rainbow built with still all phasers is possible.
I agree with Khan500 that you should wait for Delta Rising. I have AP now and will switch to Phasers then

Cheers both :-)
That is incorrect. Each console of the same type does indeed provide a bonus. Armor consoles do get hit by diminishing returns, meaning each console provides "less" bonus than the last one. But that does not have to do with the number of consoles, rather it has to do with the way armor is calculated. Even equipping only one fleet neutronium listed at 21.2 will not give you the full bonus of 21.2. The higher you try to stack armor the less payoff you receive, so generally speaking 3 armor consoles is more than enough.
Tactical consoles do not suffer from this at all, and it is best to fill all of your tactical console slots with the same thing. there are different schools of thought on which tactical consoles are best (Crit H or Crit D) I personally like to mix them, 3 chance 2 severity.

Brilliant, thanks for confirming that and thanks to everyone that has commented thus far :-)
I am levelling another character atm (Romulan Engineer) in the hope of getting a Scimitar, probably the set. I will concentrate mainly on that nad do enough to get the rep up on my Romulan Tac so by the time Delta Rising is releaed I will have enough to get the CC if its still worth it :-)
