Gateway

So,

Earlier today I tried the Gateway for the first time since joining my fleet and I noticed that I can actually contiubute to fleet projects.

Needless to say, I was surprised.

Now I'm wondering if the powers that be will add the capablity of DOFF assignments to the Gateway.

    I hadn't used it in forever but went to show it to a buddy that plays STO and noticed that fleet holdings were now able to be managed and contributed to. Pretty nifty! I'd expect to see them add the R&D interface before doff stuff, but hopefully that is on the roadmap. Even if it has something like a travel timer to get to a particular sector so you see what missions are available in different areas.

    At least it hasn't been forgotten about, looks much better than the last time I used it!

    That has been there for a year or so.
    Doesn't work well.
    Should I start posting again after all this time?

    Ive not used it yet but the idea I think is fantastic.
    Exactly what features are available with this now? And what platforms can it be used on?
    And yes the more features the better. I remember talk of it and thinking I would wait for more features ie doffing etc.
    Ive also heard that it was live but again wanted to find out some details here as to whether or not its worthwhile and useful.

    Yep, they should put doffing and R&D on the Gateway. But currently I don't mind. This expansion looks so good, I want them make it the best expansion for any MMO ever...

    (Just look at the Intrepid bridge, it's magnificent...)

    So, if you're not in a fleet you really can't do anything at the moment except the following:

    once you login and choose your character you can view only your Ship Systems, Personel Files and Accoldaes that you've won.

    again, that's if you're not in a fleet.

    if you are in a fleet there's a 4th tab called Fleet, once in you can access: holdings, fleet roster, fleet events, logs, fleet info. From the Holdings tab you'll have access to all currently running projects at your starbase, dilithium mine, spire and embassy and contribute where you see fit.

    I run two fleets, so does this mean I can set projects, promote members, and set fleet messages with this tool? This could be very useful to me if so?

    that I'm not sure of.

    I was able to contribute Dilithium and fleet marks to a project. However on a separate project I I came across a bug. I noticed there was a project that asked for 10 raw r&d materials. When I clicked on contribute I could see the screen where all of my r&d materials are, but I couldn't read anything.

    Based on that i assume that anything that would require you to access you're r&d material from your inventory IN GAME is probably bugged in the Gateway.

    As far as platforms go, the gatweay appears to be accessed via the web.

    Once there I clicked on the link for the gatway on the holodeck.

    reply back if you can set fleet projects, that would be good to know.

    I've successfully used Gateway to contribute to a fleet project exactly once. It never worked for me again. Still maybe I'll try again, its been awhile.

    I second the desire to have the doffing system added to Gateway, it'd be STO fun in my cellphone.
