Ok, I am looking for a fleet, but actually for at least two players. Me and my son. My son has recently returned to playing the game and he is itching to level up a science officer and told me today he really wanted to create a kdf romulan. He has a lvl 50 romulan but i think he just wants to play with the Klingon faction.
That being said, I have a few Klingons allied characters that had been forgotten. I have always wanted to play and find an active guild on the kdf side. I have enjoyed their story and content perspective more than Feds, but for the past two years I was trying to be loyal to the fleet I was apart off. However this past year has seen that fleet grow more and more inactive. I too left the game during the summer to try my hand at a few MMOs but I came back to sto over a month ago to find everyone else more into other games and no one really playing. Those who do play in the fleet are well,, antisocial at best.
So what I am looking for is a new fleet to call home. I really want a fresh start, and will be working up two new characters in preparation for the new content coming out in a month. I am working a new science kdf allied romulan with my son, but will also be working up a gorn engineer as well. Now if the fleet has a federation counterpart, great, it will allow me to move to a new home with all nine of my characters.
I am looking for an active fleet. The members don't have to be on everyday, as I have s lot going on with a part time job and college classes. That being said it would be nice to be able to log in, and do things with fleet mates. I have grown bored soloing everything and pugging groups. I want to make friends, group with regulars, and have fun chatting with fleet mates.
That being said, I am not asking for any handouts, i just want a place to call home. It should also be helpful to say that we are both in eastern time zone, so evenings would be best, course I am randomly on at various times in the day, especially in the mornings.
Hi Mcherub, my fleet could also be a potential home for you and your son as we fit the description. But every member of the fleet must be 18 or older in order to be invited. You can contact me in-game if you want to talk or gain more info about us: @damix4
Thanks, I already looked into the 44th fleet, and saw that one glaring issue. My son In question is ten, but he isn't one of those typical kids. He does,t type much in fleet chat, but does know how to use it, he also has pretty much done a lot of sto solo.when he does group, he listens, and when he has uses teamspeak in the past he most listens and responds if asked, and mostly just lgs into the teamspeak if we are doing a group up since it's easier to communicate that way instead of typing it.
That is why I made my own post because of the age restrictions most fleets tend to have. I can vouch for him that he isn't a typical kid, but my concern is also that he isn't bombard by the F bomb either since many online gamers seem to have no respect and cuss worse than sailors, and I should know. I've worked with marines and navy in the past and they are much ore tolerable than most gamers these days.
Anyways, I will keep a check back on this thread the next few days, will be busy with work and art projects, so won't get a lot of leveling in anyways.
You may want to check my fleet. I don't think we have any 10 year old member, but I do know that some of our members do play with their nephews on some weekends, as I remember sending them some gear I farmed.
Bad language is not allowed in chat, nor are comments in bad taste about other players. They are grounds for expulsion. There is absolutely no reason to defame the name of the fleet by such behavior in chat.
You may send me in-game mail, if you do decide to pay us a visit. And if you do, I will advise the membership of your son's age. I have not checked whether we have any restrictions about a players age, but it doesn't matter as he will have the same respect as any other member of the fleet. Age is a numerical quantity, and I have met quite a number of grown men act like 5 yr. olds. So long as he follows the rules there is no problem. In fact it may be a good idea to have some well behaved 10 year old in the fleet.
May I suggest the TalDarim? They have a nice group of people. Active on both FED and KDF. As for your 10 year old son, not a problem. We do not have any age requirements.
