thanks for the free stuff cryptic :D

I just thought I'd make a thread to say thanks for the free give away well I already own every thing on the Fed side but not on the klingon side was able to get the free bridge pack and the ship as well so thanks cryptic. :D:D

    At the end of the day they don't HAVE to give us anything for free, so whether or not its something I would have chosen to buy with my limited resources is irrelavent. Im still happy and still greatful :D

    The sad truth about giveaways theese days is that alot of people are complaining / moaning about it...

    "This is not right..." , "Why no stuff for Romulans" , "Why cant you give away something I dont have" , ect, ect.

    ...instead of beeing grateful that things are given away for free :rolleyes:

    I have had already everything they gave away last year and also this year. Yet I think its a good and generous move from Cryptic to give some stuff for free.

    I'm thankful for these great giveways as well. I made use of the TNG S1 uniform. Got a new Bridge for my KDF to use. And some new ships to play with. I don't complain one bit over the wonderful gifts. Just like the last couple of times. I enjoyed them all.

    Too bad I missed the free c-store ambassador ( which I assume has better stats them the free one ) . Oh well better luck next time .

    Thanks Cryptic/PWE, didn't have any of these so was even better than last year for me. :)

    Still would appreciate some kind of fix for, or acknowledgement of the DoFF completion delay...

    Ambassador (Support Cruiser Retrofit) should still be available at the C-Store as Giveaway still isn't over at the time you made that post. Note that it doesn't have "100% discount" label as other C-Store items that were given away. Scroll down a little, you should be able to find it.

    And yes, thank you Cryptic for the free items! It is much appreciated :)

    I would say the opposite, they should give us free stuff almost every week, seeing how bad this game is evolving and so many "holes" everywhere.

    But of course, free stuff is always welcome no matter what, but i dont see it as a "gift" more as a "reward" for our patience, seriously. And it is done in any mmorpg, so, this is not even out of the ordinary.

    Ok I read this:

    To claim “Varanus Support Vessel” Gorn Tier 5 starship:

    1. Log into the game on a Klingon character between 10AM PDT on Monday September 1 and 10AM PDT on Tuesday September 2
    2. Visit the in-game C-Store via the button on the minimap
    3. Navigate to the ‘Ships’ tab on the left
    4. Scroll down to and click on the ‘Varanus Support Vessel’ item
    6. Click the “Claim” button towards the bottom-right of the interface
    NOTE: Claiming this option unlocks this ship for all Klingon characters on an account.
    Once you own the ship, if it has been discharged, it can be reclaimed via the C-Store or at Ship Requisitions.

    So why can't my LV4 Klingon character claim it then? hmmm :confused:

    It going to be impossible to jump 36 levels in one day.

    same for me but I have a level 3 federation officer it will be impossible to jump so many levels in one day sigh cause I want to get the Ambassador refit, oh well

    You had to be level 40 (or 50) last year to claim the top ships, or I would've nabbed the carrier last year. One minor annoyance. I had to dismiss my current Ambassador to claim the new one out of the C store.

    I'm thankful for the Ambassador. I was on a prolonged hiatus when it was given away, so it was wonderful to able to get it as it's one of my favorite Federation ship designs. Thanks Cryptic!

    I've been unable to claim the free ship. I am new to STO and perhaps I am doing it wrong. I followed the instructions (I thought). Anyone else having a problem?

    How new? Are you, for example, below level 50?
    Bipedal mammal and senior Foundry author.
    Notable missions: Apex [AEI], Gemini [SSF], Trident [AEI], Evolution's Smile [SSF], Transcendence
    Looking for something new to play? I've started building Foundry missions again in visual novel form!

    indeed it is very nice to get stuff free, thanks.

    it a bit of a shame some of us already had the two ships from the c-store give away last year and the feature episode but it give a chance for anyone who missed out to catch up so all in well.

    When I think about everything we've been through together,

    maybe it's not the destination that matters, maybe it's the journey,

     and if that journey takes a little longer,

    so we can do something we all believe in,

     I can't think of any place I'd rather be or any people I'd rather be with.

    Same here, I was very happy to be able to get it.

    I always loved the Ambassador, it's a fun ship to fly around. :D
