Make the DS9 docking officer shut up

admiraltroikaadmiraltroika Member Posts: 0 Arc User
Seriously, it's annoying that she has to sass klanks and klankroms whenever we dock, even though we're at peace now.

If you have to make her do it, just make her do it the FIRST time you visit DS9 instead of EVERY TIME. The job of a junior NCO in charge of docking is to park my ship, not to whine at me.

That's at every space docking. Personally I wish all the docking officers would shut up and let me do my job.

I'll be happy if the ESD Space Traffic Control didn't assume my Fed allied Romulan was a moron who didn't know how to dock every time I visit ESD.

I really don't see the need for this in-between section anyway. Once I beam out, I want to start moving through the sector, not go through yet another pointless scene of either flying away or towards DS9.

Agreed. I think ALL space station/planetary entrances should be like New Romulus. No greeting from someone and stay at the side of the screen,... I hate that sitting outside Qo'nos, the menu sits right in the middle of the screen, obscuring my view of my ship.

frankly I wish they'd do away with those space instances and let us go straight to wherever we're going from sector space. Especially qonos, where the first city is needlessly far from where you enter that instance from sector space.

with ds9, keep 'second wave' started, it lets you skip the space map to an empty promenade with a few data samples to scan

Yeah, not sure how that dialog box is even visible by Romulans since it's part of the Fed tutorial.

Add Mudd to this in Sirius Sector. All other Cargo Vessels, including ones I have summoned, just leave with no fanfare. This guy that sells, what three pieces of junk, needs to tell us he is packing up shop. Shut up or I will blow you out of the ether already.

Nope, I get a box everytime I come into ESD with a Rom character like I don't know how to do a docking procedure.

What annoys me most with DS9 is that as soon as you undock, they're asking if you want to dock... It's like the bloody Hotel California there...

Now THIS I will agree with. If I'm leaving, stop asking me to dock.

and the one at earth space dock for romulans, if I don't know the docking procedure now I never will yet every time I go to ESD with my fed alighed rom he insists on filling my screen.

When I think about everything we've been through together,

maybe it's not the destination that matters, maybe it's the journey,

and if that journey takes a little longer,

so we can do something we all believe in,

I can't think of any place I'd rather be or any people I'd rather be with.

    I
He does that even if you aren't one of his customers. There I am, taking care of a few doffing missions before setting out, and suddenly the dialog box pops up: "I am a busy man, and must take my leave. Farewell." Well, good riddance, ya TRIBBLE, I wasn't even talking to you!

I couldn't agree more, I think it's time a lot of NPC's here piped down, I don't need Admiral G..whoever to tell me about the crystal entity every time I play.. I don't need to be told how to dock..

OR do like Nearly Every Other MMO did Years Ago.. make Escape close ALL non static UI windows one press for each.
(unless there is an option for this now I don't know about then really cool and all.)

It's the same with STF missions. It's almost cynical of Cryptic - they know the only thing in this game we can do are the same four missions over and over and over again, and every time they insist we get the STF tutorial in our faces.

And the ESD docking officer for Romulans! Every damn time I warp in and just want to beam down, I have to tell that jerk to stuff it first!

That about sums it up, besides anyone else notice, they gave major Kira.....kuhummm I mean the bajoran woman a new hairdo?

I was wondering if I was imagining the hair change...

Also, especially for the Crystalline Entity cues, I ignored you the first time you popped up, do you really think I'm going to appreciate getting knocked out of cloak to ignore you again!?
