I've been thinking for ages that they should award Dil for episode replays. Otherwise once you've got all the gear you want there's very little incentive to ever play them again (except during the FE rerun or for funsies) because you could be doing something more productive.

¿? I thought they already did that. In a lot of episode replays, at least in my case, i have the option to select a "small" container of dilithium. I dunno if this is only available in some episodes.

    For the record:

In the cluster chain, mission 7/7 (I think it's cluster X renown), grants the blue DOff in the cluster's "specialty". For example B'Tran renown gives the aforementionted four of ten blue technician DOff. Eridan Belt (top of map) gives gravimetric scientists that spawn aftershock gravity wells, and Hromi Cluster (Pi Canis space just south of New Romulus) gives transwarp reduction DOffs.

These missions can only be ran once per cluster.

The support cluster X effort mission comes up at random after that. This is the one that rewards the purple DOffs on a critical success - along with a refugee (fed) or prisoner (KDF) - you get this even on a regular success. One thing to note, though, is that there is a 28 hour cooldown from when you start this mission till you can accept it again (mildly frustrates the farming of these DOffs). Each cluster rewards the exact same purple for each critical - this is how you farm up 3 A2B Doffs or other ones...

All of these DOffs (the renown blues and the support purples) are bind to character on acquisition - no selling piles of DOffs on the exchange for free... However, you can "degrind" them and try to sell the blues / greens / whites that way - or pay the Dil and pray that an upgrind gets you a hyper rare purple...
Detecting big-time "anti-old-school" bias here. NX? Lobi. TOS/TMP Connie? Super-promotion-box. (aka the two hardest ways to get ships) Excelsior & all 3 TNG "big hero" ships? C-Store. Please Equalize...

Please confirm: the 360 Antiproton beam is better than the 360 shuttle beam arrays, even without the 2-set bonus.

most -s weapons are common crud, thus a purple is better. It's largely inevitable.

Here's the "maintained" mission rewards list ...

As a New/Returning player, this list is invaluable. Last time I played, Was when they handed out the free Odyssey Star Ship, and even though, I had the first Borg piece from the mission runs, I had to learn about the new rep system.

That being said, between the Breen, the Jem'hadar, and the Obelisk, I've managed to get some gear, to stay alive in normal STF's. (Haven't tried the elites yet, as I'm scared to make a mistake when going for the optionals. esp. on my Fleet Tactical refit super escort thingie.

Without being so long winded, Thanks for the info here. I tell ya, this community is great about helping others, and I so hope, I'll be able to return the favor someday, once I get some more experience under my belt.

Once I get my Engineer to 50 , I'll feel more comfortable, having learned the basics of the three classes. Tactical and Science (huge fun) are at 50 now, and the Engineer should be hitting there this week.

Kudos to the OP and all who help those like me, who always seem to be a day late and a dollar short.

After the costume unlock of Mark XII Omega gear was mentioned above: The Jem'Hadar Ground Set unlocks great Jem'Hadar costume options when its upgraded in the Lobi Store.

Cryprtic should really think about going back and revamp some of the rewards on the older missions to create some incentive to replay them.

There are some examples, like the Breen or Dominion sets, the Plasma-Disruptor hybrids, small craft weapons, etc... where they have done well, but then there are also tons of missions which only reward a choice of uncommon, mk XI ground armour, uncommon [dmg] single cannons and the likes at lvl 50, items that are usually posted below replicator value on the exchange.

You'll end up better-equipped running a single farm-foundry mission, than the whole Klingon War story arc. ;D

    They have been.

They recently updated the Borg series, Dr. Cooper is there where you supposed to have first met him, a new Boss and new rewards, like a new anti-Borg transphasic torpedo and Antiproton weapons closer to what the you used to get from the "Omega" store.

The Solone and Jem Hadar sets are your friend if you want some free sets to tide you ovee until you have access to fleet or other set/STF gear. That said:

The Efficient engines arent bad but the Prototype Gravitic Engine you get from "Sharien's Swords" might be a better solution if you dont have one of the aforementioned sets:

Use this hodegepodge and any shield that has [Pla] as a modifier so you can do Borg STFs and youre good to go. By level 50, you might even have sold enough vendor trash to be able to afford/craft an Aegis set, which is getting an auto-bump in 9.5.

I don't remember if it was mentioned yet, but one of the many solid weapons you get from the Dividian series is the Synchronic Proton Distortion Prototype Assault Rifle - It is MORE than useable at endgame and crits like a TRIBBLE. Just be sure to prep for the aggro you will generate.

plenty of reason to go replay the breen episodes once you decide to play with a torpboat build. breen set + transphasic cluster + transphasic rapid reload = lots of fun

Chlidrens' Toys as possible means to MK XI(I) rare and very rare consoles added - at least until the crafting update which might require a rework of the DOff mission as well.

Is this a new mission or something??? i cant remember doing this mission and getting this reward lol. I have 2 romulan toons and i cant remember this mission.

The mission came with the Legacy of Romulus expansion so it is not that new (and it is mentioned in my first post along with the according episode link). Perhaps You simply chose a different reward as I (personally) think the Engines were not exactly worth it despite being very rare?

Or you can find some fellow from 8-Ball Company, do some missions with them, join their fleet and have access to all the free gear you could need from the always full fleet bank of only rares and up? (more VRs now, but still...) :P

Have it bookmarked. Strangely enough i thought it was stickied in the guide section.
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

I've never thanked you for compiling this all into one place, so...thanks! On my new character, I've been doing a budget build only using things available from the story or the free rep rewards and it's been a lot of fun. For any new players reading this, you can be completely, 100% useful in elite PVE content using this gear. The only reason I see to actually buy rep gear anymore is to try new things, as it certainly isn't needed for any of the current content.

    Great post!

I really wish there was a way to get Antiproton Dual HEAVY Cannons by replaying FEs.

On a side note, damn having to replay Solanae missions to get sets. Damn having to replay missions a ridiculous amount of times.

I am curious as well and I do hope that even more of the older episodes get reworked rewards. F.e., some episode giving a choice of rare tactical consoles would be grand. To make things more canon, it could be Phaser Relays for Federation characters, Disruptor Induction Coils for Klingons and Plasma Infusers for Romulans, preferably with the currently still missing Phaser Dual Heavy Cannons and Turrets somewhere as well. Polaron and Tetryon consoles would be something, too. Also, the noticeable emphasis on rare Chroniton weapons could be changed to something more viable (like Photon or Quantum Torpedoes).
