Ok guys, we still have some slots left on that Intel report, lets all play the great guessing game about who else will appear our of left field! Already kinda knows races are excluded.
My prediction:
- The Think tank guys. After their Hazari troubles, i wonder what happened to them. I kinda doubt they would have been just killed off.
Vaaduwar, The Silver Blood, Krenim, Dream Species, The Caretakers, The Photonic Lifeforms, the Kobali, the Nucleogenic lifeforms, The Hierarchy, The Night Walkers, The Viidians....
I can almost 100% guarantee running into at least a few Viidian ships along the way. But I also predict that at some point, one of your dead Redshirts will be salvaged by the Kobali, and will eventually return to your ship.
Well, we saw the vaadwaur and the malon in the trailer, the hierarchy were shown at the original announcement I believe, I can't remember the exact wording used but it was also made pretty clear that the kobali were coming, and since they let us vote on who we wanted to see and the krenim won, if they don't show up people will be annoyed. Oh, and according to sto wiki the automated personnel units are coming too, but I don't know why they think so. So, vaadwaur, malon, hierarchy, automated personnel units, kobali and krenim at least. Did I miss anything? Assuming we get two more for each new rank, that's everything really. We might get more if they reveal three at a time again though.
Edit- Then again, we may well not get an intelligence briefing for every single race we're going to encounter. We might only get a blog for the major players while tons of minor races will be there as well. The kobali and the automated personnel units could easily fall in to that category.

I dont see why we will encounter vidiian ships, my guess is that cryptic will include only species that will throw some interest to the game, not every one of em. Since vidiians were never an important species on the show, i dont think we will see em. Because if we do, then other THOUSANDS of species will be included as well lol. So i can 100% almost say that we will not encounter vidiians. And if we do, it will be just a couple of ships and forget about em.
The Hierarchy and Malon are confirmed due to them being in the Star Trek Las Vegas presentation about Delta Rising. The Hierarchy are the alien race that introduced the Emergency Command Hologram and the Photonic Cannon. Although hopefully, they aren't as gullible as the ones introduced in that episode.
Actually, my second-runner-up is: I'd really like to see Chakote play a role in the expansion, I always liked him and noone ever mentions either him or the maquis.
I take it they're following-up on all Voyagers encounters with all the species they made contact with. Although would be nice to see "CAPTAIN PROTON" holodeck mission in black & white like it was done in voyager series.

Not only that, it was mentioned in the "Think Tank" episode that the Think Tank had cured the Phage and returned the Viidians to their previous pursuits. So they won't be bothering any of our redshirts for organ harvesting.
That being said, I do think it would be interesting to see what post-phage Viidians are like, but I'm not sure what it would add to the story.
I do look forward to seeing the Heirarchy Species (I find them hilarious), the Kazon (for target practice) and the Krenim.
Something to consider when making predictions: Each intel report has been basically from one region of space along voyager's journey. Each intel report has been a pairing of groups who are in conflict in some way.
We still have the Malon and Hierarchy that were shown at the Vegas Convention.

We also know about Kobali and APUs... you don't even have to fall back to leaks, Geko mentioned them during a podcast.
And the Vaadwaur are in the trailer.
I hope we'll get something about the current state of affairs regarding the Borg, Undine and Voth in the DQ, too.

This is a good point. We know the Vaadwaur will be in one of them, the question is who they'll be paired with... Possibly the Turei if the Turei are even in Delta Rising. Maybe they got killed offscreen? :P
But, the conflicts demonstrated in the pairing of the Cooperative and Octanti is based on conflicting ideologies rather than any sort of antagonism between the powers.
Maybe the Vaadwaur will be paired with the Kobali? There's a HUGE conflict in ideologies there. The Kobali re benevolent, and the Vaadwaur militaristic conquerors.

I think it's also a sure bet that the Vaadwaur are bombing the Kobali city in the first seconds of the trailer.
i want the Vaadwaur to become allies with the Klingon Empire, and we will even take the Kazon as cannon fodder. and then take the delta quantrant in the name of the Klingon empire under the control of vaadwaur governors. with kazon as cannon fodder under vaadwaur tactical command with Klingon over all command of the compaign.
Use our gorn allies to make peace or at the least a truce with the voth and the empire. kick all the Romulans out of the empire keeping the Remans. release a virus that kills off all the orions in the empire even their queeen *****. then roll stomp the delta quadrant. leaving the feds to deal with the Voth and borg.
use the delta quadrant planet that is populated by Klingons already, ( they were marooned there by Voyager 30 years before) as the home Base for the new Imperial holdings.
then we get the vaadwaur to engage 8472 in fluidic space to draw attention away from the real home world. use the kazon who the borg dont even want to lead raids into borge hives and steal tech and or sabotage borg ships.
then all we have to do is convince all the powers that be that the spheres and their recent activity is what is allowing the iconians to regain power and that we must all destroy these spheres to remove the iconian threat.
there that is my speculation (dreams) pure BS but what the hell it was fun .
and we can then continue expanding the Empire and playing the passive aggressive red faction that we all love and or hate.
Trophies for killing FEDS ahh those were the days.

The Think Tank lies when it suits their purposes. They said that they cured the Viidians, but there is no way to know for sure since we never saw them after the Think Tank episode. Therefore, all their achievements are suspect. Although, it is possible that they did cure the Phage, but only 10% of them were cured so we could have cured Vidiians and organ-harvesting Vidiians. It just depends on what route does Cryptic want to go
except for the Kazon, Ocampa and Talaxians, it's pretty much been confirmed that we're not going past the Nekrit expanse from the Alpha Quadrant/Beta Quadrant side. That means we probably won't see the Viidians, though it doesn't explain how we have two out of the three species on the other side of the Nekrit expanse.
The Ocampa were not seen since Suspiria's group which was a bunch of episodes before the expanse, though it is possible that they managed to migrate from Ocampa out to other areas of the Delta Quadrant with the help of Kes.
The Kazon haven't been seen since the beginning of season 3 when Voyager left a defeated Cullah and the rest of the Nistrim. It's possible that they expanded their territory in the 36 years since we seen them last to the point that they're now in or out of the Nekrit expanse.
As for the Talaxians, we know that there are Talaxians elsewhere in the quadrant, with one group being very close to the border of the Delta Quadrant and the Beta Quadrant, where Neelix is.
We're likely to see the Malon rather frequently, and will most likely have to protect many areas from them dumping waste. As for others, I need to go back and look at what major species we will be facing, though the Krenim probably will be one big one for sure.

You know what, here's a more complete list.

You win nothing, since this is about people that aren't obvious first choices.

Spot on. I wonder how you could know that.
